  1. @2019.Emperor I will be going to the LP campus.
  2. Hey I think you have joined the one I created. Let me know of you still can't get access to the group.
  3. Hey I am not sure about the RFU campus but the Nursing Orientation for the LP campus dates haven't been given to us yet. I emailed Christine S. at the beginning of the month for an approx time frame. Her response was that it is usually at the end of Aug. The course schedule was given to us in the email for registration. It looks like 3 to 4 classes per quarter. Not sure about the clinicals or the professors.
  4. Hey everyone. I just started a Facebook group for the Fall 2019 cohort. The group is called DePaul MENP Fall 2019 Cohort https://m.facebook.com/groups/2649292771751779/?ref=group_browse
  5. Hey are any of you going to the Preview day on the 18th?
  6. I totally understand. I have a house here so preparing all the things I'll have to do to move is a little stressful bit it will be worth it. ?
  7. Oh wow that is awesome! Well good luck to you in whichever school you choose. ?
  8. Oh ok. I'm in FL so I would have to move for either school. ? Are you already in the Baltimore area?
  9. It's ok. I figured you were busy. Lol Was it hard finding a place to live or do you already live in Chicago? I've been trying to figure out when I should begin looking. Aww I understand and thanks.
  10. Do you know if there is a Facebook group started for the Fall 2019 cohort?
  11. Yes I called today and received my admission decision over the phone. I've been accepted into the Fall 2019 MENP program at the LP campus! ?? I applied via Nursingcas on Jan 2.
  12. @Smorri84 Congratulations! When did you receive your letter? When did you apply?
  13. @outsiderrdid you apply through Nursingcas or in the Depaul website?
  14. You're welcome. I should be hearing back from another school soon too but I understand. Hopkins really is amazing. I had to take 2 semesters of research for my degree. My focus was Preeclampsia and Pregnancy. My senior year I was in a research group testing water for residents in Bithlo Beach to determine if the level of fecal coli forms present in the water were safe for drinking and playing. Thanks?
  15. No they don't tell you how many are on it nor do the tell you your rank on the waitlist. That is what makes me nervous and why I applied to additional schools. I did my undergrad in Biomedical Sciences. My undergrad gpa was 3.36 and my post bac gpa is 4.0. I didn't calculate my prereq gpa. I am a Certified Phlebotomist. I have 6 years volunteer service at a health clinic, ~ 1yr research experience, worked in a Nursing lab for 3 yrs, and some medical office experience. Did you apply to any other schools?
  16. I agree. The application process can be stressful. I applied to JHU during the early desicion and was waitlisted. I really want to get in however I am unsure of how many get waitlisted and what the chances of getting off the waitlist and into the program are. I applied to a few other places just in case.
  17. Yay! Congratulations!!! ? Good luck to you as well. When does the Spring term start? Let me know how things are going or just any nursing school advice you have once things really get rolling in the program. My top choice is Johns Hopkins but I would definitely be excited to get into any of those schools.
  18. I started to apply directly to the school but since I had already had my application verifed before in Nursingcas, I figured it would verify quicker for additional applications. That makes since. I don't live close to either so I applied to the main campus. Yea I haven't seen many reviews or post on Summer or Fall 2019 for either campus. I did notice that last years decisions were released around now but the year before they weren't released until about Feb 28 and early Mar. Hopefully we hear back soon though.
  19. I applied to Rush as well but I am still waiting on 1 letter of recommendation so I am nervous about that. I also applied to Emory and Johns Hopkins but I am waitlisted at both schools.
  20. Oh wow when did you apply? I applied Dec 29th and was verified by Nursingcas on Jan 2nd. I got the "under review" email from DePaul but nothing since then. Did you apply anywhere else?
  21. Hey AspiringNurse2019, I also applied to DePaul for Fall 2019 but for the Lincoln Park campus on Jan 2 but have not heard anything back yet. Last year the first round of decisions went out around the 6th of this month but when I talked to admissions last week I was told that they are looking through Summer candidates to see if anyone wanted to be moved fo Spring so it could be a few more weeks before decisions go out for Fall. Did you apply directly to the school or through Nursingcas? How did you decide on which campus you wanted to attend?
