LVN licensing question
I hope this will answer your question; I just copy paste what I received in my initial license application Pursuant to section 2892(VN) and section 2590(e) (PT) of Title 16 of the California Code of Regulations (16 CCR), your initial license shall expire on the last day of the month following the month in which your birthday occurs, beginning with the second birthday following the date on which the license was issued. It must be renewed at that time and must be renewed every two years thereafter. Important Reminder: By law, if you fail to renew your license within four (4) years of its expiration, it cannot be renewed, reissued, restored or reinstated. You will have to reapply for a new license and pass the licensure examination. Continuing Education Requirements Continuing education requirements do not apply to the first license renewal following the initial issuance of a license. However, thereafter, you are required to complete thirty (30) hours of continuing education prior to your license renewal every two years. Application Abandonment Pursuant to 16 CCR section 2512 (VN) and section 2571 (PT), your application shall be deemed abandoned if your license fee is not received within two years of this notification. Abandoned applications and all pertinent records are destroyed at the end of the two-year period.

Easiest states for foreign graduates
hi guys! I'm relieved to know that I'm not alone in this journey, let me share my timeline with everyone and hope yours too so that we can compare notes and track all our progress. here's my story since early this year my BF really encouraged me to push thru with my nursing career even though i forgot about that dream already but i really got motivated when i realized that nursing is my answer to all of my financial problem, i thought i was a fighter but then im not. i stopped when i didn't pass the NCLEX and new Mexico BON won't accept my reapplication and wants me to go back to nursing school all over again. that honestly discourage me and never look back to become a nurse. SO fast forward i met my boyfriend whos a CRNA who saw a lot of potential in me to become a good nurse, he supports me in any way possible when it comes to my career so come. 3/1 opened CGFNS account and gathered necessary documents needed 3/21 payment submitted $350 3/24 fill out all documents 3/25 documents sent via USPS HS diploma, passport, birth and marriage certificate -sent via website authorization to release information 3/25 email sent to SWU registrar? via MR NACARIO - Request for Academic Records / Transcripts Order # 3020505 4/5 documents sent to CGFNS 4/17 received the following documents to support your application: Transcript - SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY PHINMA 4/18 -Completed my Breeze application for my state of choice which is in CA. and did the payment of $750 not knowing that i should have not applied yet since im not sure yet as to when CGFNS can expedite my paperwork or worst-case scenario in 12 weeks which is around July! -CGFNS is now ready for review and eligible for expediting but i didn't realize its not for everyone but there are slots available and is limited, told me to check the main menu overview once in a while to get a slot but if not lucky it'll be in 12 weeks! so right now, i guess i just have to wait and pray for a slot availabilty so i can expedite my paperwork for 10 days and additional $250 or if not itll be available in 12 weeks.. anyone here also applying for CA BON?

Can’t thank you enough for your assistance. You don’t happen to have a link to the nurse registration forum do you? I can’t seem to find it under the different topics

Thanks so much for your comment. Although each state has different specific requirements for NCLEX eligibility, once I’m licensed in a state that has reciprocity with California the CA BRN will be satisfied, correct?

Easiest states for foreign graduates
Hi, I graduated from nursing school in the Philippines in 2006. After an alternate career here in the states I'm hoping to take the NCLEX and get my nursing license. It's a complex process and a little overwhelming. Is anyone aware of any posts out there that break down the steps or has done it and can walk me through it? I was never licensed in the Philippines. I'm in California but would be happy to take my boards for any state that has reciprocity. Thanks! -K
