Hi All, I applied to the OHSU ABSN program in Ashland (and ABSN at Linfield) -- joining this thread for updates and anxiously awaiting news of interviews/acceptance! I recently got my CNA (in Oregon) and wanted to let those considering the option know that "federal and state regulations require under certain conditions a first-hiring nursing facility reimburse a nursing assistant for the cost of training and required course materials" for those who may be deterred by the cost. This usually comes with conditions, like half will be reimbursed after 90 days and the other half after 180. Some facilities also have sponsorship programs and will pay for your certification costs if you agree to work for them for 'x' amount of time. Hope someone finds this info helpful!
