Google the LA campus number and ask for the nursing dept. if it goes to voicemail, click the option for a different available advisor and tell them your situation and if they could help find out your app status.

All I know is that the LVN-BSN program is shorter because there are some classes you don’t have to take that generic BSN has to take.

I think we find out by July 12. It was written on the whiteboard.

I think I did okay... but I thought my prompt was pretty challenging. I had 3 mins left at the end to reread and proofread. Gosh how nerve wracking.

It could be along the lines of these prompts: 1.What characteristics and/or skills do you possess that will help you to contribute to the field of nursing? 2. What are your strengths & weaknesses? How will these attributes make you a good nurse? 3. Compare and contrast nursing as a science and as an art. 4. How will your nursing studies or life experiences contribute to the nursing profession? 5. What skills or attributes set you apart & how will these help you while in nursing school or in your nursing career? 6. Describe a time you had to use interpersonal communication to work through a difficult work situation. 7. Name a personal experience in your life that shaped you into the person you are today. 8. Why do you want to become a nurse? What motivates you? 9. How do you feel about not being able to have a social life once accepted into the nursing program. 10. The nursing program is very rigorous. What would you do to ensure your success? I have seen these in a previous post for NU.

YAAAAAY!!!! When is your essay/teas date?
-
National University Los Angeles- Generic Entry BSN- Cohort 22 (October 2019)
Yeah, the application period opened in october I think? So I was able to submit it early because I ended my last prereq in November, can’t remember exactly. I only took the TEAS once, and I don’t think I’m gonna retake it because I think 91 is high enough. Right now, I think I’m just gonna put my energy into practicing for the proctored essay. But who knows, maybe I’ll toss $58 on the exam date and retake the TEAS depending on how I feel on that day haahahahaha THANKS FOR ROOTING FOR ME!! It means a lot ?

Yeah I did. I submitted my application way back in December, and I finally got my teas/essay date which is on May 22. VERY ANXIOUS ABOUT IT.

My TEAS/essay date is on May 22. Did you guys make it by the application deadline?
-
National University Los Angeles- Generic Entry BSN- Cohort 22 (October 2019)
For NU, you can take the TEAS as much as you want, and they will take your highest score. The application process is fairly easy, and it is submitted online. Once the application deadline has passed, they will send you through email (I would think) your appointed date to take the 1-hour proctored essay and the TEAS. HOWEVER, if you had taken the TEAS before this appointed date and you are satisfied with your score, you can bring a print out of your score page and give it to them or send your score from the ATI website. I would just bring a print out of my score because this is free rather than paying a fee on the ATI website. Taking the proctored essay is free but the TEAS costs money (not sure how much). Don't hesitate and don't be scared to try again because you really would not know the outcome if you don't try. You don't wanna live life wondering what could/would have happened if only you had tried... am I right?
