  1. If it works, who cares! I love this idea because I’m an extremely hands on type of learner. Thank you for this wonderful idea, even if it makes me look a little crazy! ?
  2. I appreciate your honesty! I definitely am used to writing in APA from my BSN courses, so hopefully that helps me. Thanks so much for commenting!
  3. Thanks so much for the advice! I’m very excited to get started, but will for sure enjoy my summer off! I’m glad you’re happy. It seems like the general consensus is to have a study plan in place. I appreciate the comment!
  4. Thank you for taking time out of your day to share with me. I will definitely be trying to take care of myself and keep a healthy balance. Your advice is super helpful and I appreciate it!
  5. Thanks for the response. I am sure it only gets busier. I remember undergrad being busy when clinical hours started picking up. I hope you crush this last portion of the program! Good luck and let me know if you have any tips for me.
  6. I have been accepted into a local FNP program for the Fall of this year. I was wondering what everyone here did to prepare themselves for their first year of NP school. All advice and tips are appreciated! Thanks!
  7. I think this role change could be very eye-opening and challenging. I've always been the person to make myself do something that I am nervous about because I think it expands your experience and knowledge. However, I would never recommend doing anything unsafe or outside of your scope of practice. If you feel nervous, I think that is normal with a new job/role. If it were me, I would evaluate the pros and cons to the new position. Also, ask plenty of questions. I would rather ask questions that seem "unnecessary" than to feel uncomfortable taking a new position. It is always better to be informed and proactive. Don't ever let fear be a deciding factor. Good luck with everything! ?
  8. Congrats on your little one! I had a friend that ended up pregnant in nursing school (not planned). She took a little time off and immediately picked back up where she stopped. I think it is very dependent on the health of your pregnancy and your other responsibilities. It is most definitely possible to manage both with the right mindset and support system. The best of luck to you!
  9. Hi everyone, I am new to this website, but wanted to gather some insight on some online FNP programs that are out there. My husband and I would like to remain in the area we are living in, but I am open to visiting a campus occasionally throughout the program. Does anyone have any recommendations for online MSN FNP programs. I wanted to see what my fellow nurses had to say! :) Thanks for your input, Kayla
