My boyfriend is an electrician. If he were to exercise poor judgement and rewire something incorrectly, or fail to notice a hazard, he could kill himself or the people whose property he is working on. He has worked on several hospitals in the area; if he were to do something incorrectly, that could effect everyone in the hospital or cause an electrical hazard. He is held responsible by his own scope of practice as a master electrician. People trust him to do his job well. I'm surprised the BON has not acted yet. I don't believe the blame is solely Ms. Vaughts, and the hospital should be held partially responsible. We are drilled about the medication rights from the beginning, everyday and every time we give a medication. She is responsible for not verifying what she was giving. Being on "auto pilot" is zero excuse when lives are on the line.

as far as ACEN, I'm not sure. I haven't asked. I've compiled a pretty good list of several universities and employers that have good reps & have no problem transferring EEI's credits, or accepting grad applications from them. I absolutely LOVE FMC. I did my clinicals at Broward North when I was at BC, and let me tell you there is a MASSIVE difference in the way the two operate! The teamwork they have at FMC is fantastic; all the nurses help each other out, and everyone is willing to help you and show you how to do procedures or walk you through new things. Even the doctors were quizzing us on things; I felt confident to perform things I knew, and confident that I could ask someone to explain or show something to me and walk me through it. My experience has been that the nurses are very attentive of their patients and cognizant of their individual needs; especially with procedures like IV insertions , foleys , etc. we are kept busy everytime we're there. I plan on applying there once I graduate in August. If you have any other questions you could message me as well ?

I transferred from Broward College to this school. I went from struggling and zero support at BC, to coming to EEI. I don't regret it at all. I'm excited to attend clinicals and class. They encourage you to ask questions and don't make you feel stupid and inept, like Broward does. On my HESI exit for Psych, I scored a 960 first time. minimum pass is a 850. Got an A in the class overall. BC, I was lucky to scrape by with a C. and yes, their scores BEFORE Michelle took over were truly bottom of the barrel abysmal. She just took over and the scores while still not amazing, have skyrocketed compared to before. If you'd like any info or even to get together on campus for any questions, feel free to message me.
