  1. I was accepted!! Just got the email.
  2. Nothing yet. It’s driving me crazy! I might call the admissions office if I don’t hear anything by around 4:15 to verify that they still plan on contacting applicants today regarding admission.
  3. I would think sometime before or shortly after lunch. My phone will be glued to my hand all day for sure! As soon as someone else hears something let us know! Good luck everyone!
  4. If they push the date back I will be disappointed. I have had a mental countdown clock running in my head since I interviewed! ? I don't know how much longer I can take. I am overly excited and want to know!!?
  5. haileyannm that’s very odd considering they have already told applicants they would be communicating with us about admission decisions on the 15th or February.
  6. Tuesday interviewers, how did it go? Only two more days until we hear back!
  7. Regardless I’m holding my breath until the 15th! Good luck in your interview. If we’re both accepted we’ll have to connect before the program begins!
  8. They asked the basic questions you would expect to hear in a nursing interview, nothing out of the ordinary. They really hammered the fact that because the program is 12 months long it would require you to drop everything for a year and focus solely on your studies. They want to make sure you are aware of that and have prepared financially to not work for a year and also have a good support system surrounding you. One thing I did find strange (and possibly encouraging) regarding the interview is the fact they they gave me an enrollment commitment form to be filled out and returned after/if I receive an offer. They also gave me a form explaining the expectations of students in the program which they required me to sign that day. This type of paperwork is typically sent out with your acceptance letter/email, not given on the day of the interview. The only logical reason I can come to as to why they would hand this paperwork out on the day of the interview is that if you got an interview then you are tentatively accepted, granted you perform well in the interview. This could mean nothing but my mind won't let me stop thinking about it! What do you think?
  9. I feel like it went great! Now the wait until the 15th is torturing me. Just be yourself and you’ll do fine, it wasn’t a very stressful interview. Are you traveling to Memphis or doing the interview online?
  10. I got a call this afternoon. I have an interview at 9:15 Friday morning.
  11. It seems as though they are moving through the application review process quicker this year! Good luck!
  12. Let me know when you hear something, I will do the same. Good luck!
  13. It's driving me nuts waiting. I assume you still live out West, Memphis would be a big move for you! I have spoken to an individual who is currently in the program at UTHSC and they spoke well of it. The current cohort has a class size of 75 and the classes are taken in 10-week mini-semesters, with clinicals beginning during the second semester. How exciting is it knowing that if we are accepted we may be in clinicals by mid-October? Judging from the information I gathered by reading through previous posts on allnurses.com and Reddit regarding UTHSC, applicants in the past three years have typically been contacted for interviews by phone call during the first week and second week of February. The interviews were typically conducted during the second week and third week of February and then applicants began to receive acceptance/denial letters via email during the last week and a half of February and into early March. My application was complete and submitted prior to the 15th. By the way, I have seen discussions of individuals who conducted their interview via Skype since they did not live near Memphis.
  14. Hailey, I grew up in rural West Tennessee and earned a B.S. in Biology from the University of Memphis in the spring of 2016. How about you? I will also apply to the ABSN program at The University of Memphis and Union's campus in Germantown, but UTHSC is without question my top choice.
