First, some of the logistics: I'm 23 years old, female, and living in NY state. I was originally a pre-nursing student at my college , but changed courses to Biology around my freshman year. I will be entering my final semester in this coming spring and will be graduating with a B.S. in Biology with a Psych minor. It would have taken me about 5.5 years to finish this degree. My cGPA is about a 2.89. I have completed the majority of prereqs for accelerated nursing program in the process of completing my undergrad degree, but I am still missing things like human nutrition that some schools require. I have some patient care experience (~60 hours?) working as an assistant at a ENT office. The schools that I'm currently looking at are: SBU, Drexel, DeSales, and NJCU. I was wondering if I could get any input from anyone who had been accepted to these schools? Stats if you don't mind sharing? Or really anyone in my similar position who had gotten accepted into any program? How did you guys do it? For Drexel, my GPA for the last 60 credits comes out to be about a 3.51 which is why I'm really hoping to get into their program. And from what I've looked up on their websites, NJCU, DeSales, and Stony have relatively low-ish minimum GPA requirements, even though I know there are obviously students applying with higher GPAs than the minimum. My prereq grades that these schools require are pretty good too (As and Bs). Please help, I kick myself over and over for not caring about grades in the beginning of my college career. At this point I really just want to do whatever it takes to get into a program and successfully pass it.
