  1. The title was correct. I hope the screen shot worked for you
  2. Hey you may want to add "nursing" and "osu-okc" to the title for those who search for this group that's not on this website. Also thanks for creating it. See you next week!
  3. On clinicals do you get the choice between day or night?
  4. One more question. Is it best to have the physical copy of the books or better to have the ebook?
  5. Thanks. Would you say it would be hard to try and work while in the program? Any tips on what we can do to prepare now before classes start?
  6. I'm getting most of my books through Amazon or elseviers website since I have found it's cheaper. And I'm waiting until August to get my scrubs since I'm not sure if they have everything already at the bookstore
  7. Here is a good link on what to expect for our first class it seems like it will be covering the basics of nursing. And I was thinking to brush up on my anatomy and physiology just in case. It's been well a while since I took that course. Does anyone know if our lab class will also be our clinicals as well? or will that be a separate day? Trying to figure out how I am going to work during the program.
  8. It's pretty simple. Go to the osu okc website and click on my.okstate which will take you to the student portal to login. After you are logged in Click on "student" than click "register" than click "look up classes" and find the ones that gaytra lists for you. Once they pull up click the small check box under select and hit register found at the bottom. Hope that helps
  9. That definitely saves you a step and a cost lol. And the letter states that the background and drug test needs to be completed before July 15th. And if you need it the shots will need completed before Aug 1. As for enrollment did you send an email to gaytra stating you accept? And yes there is a way to do it online through self service.
  10. Thank you for the offer, I actually went out and picked one up yesterday since I wont have a day off work until after my CPR class. But again thank you for the offer!! How was the class? Is anyone thinking of setting up a Facebook page.
  11. I called earlier today. The course itself is 49 dollars. But you will also have to buy a BLS manual before the class at the bookstore. As of right now they only have the three dates that are listed on the letter we received and the time is from 9 to 12. I went ahead and signed up for June 6th. Didnt want to risk them not have any other classes before July 15.
  12. Has anyone signed up for the CPR certification yet?
  13. I got in with 81. You should be fine.
  14. Good! I'm ready! I just sent my email to Gaytra accepting my position.
  15. I received my acceptance letter with 81 points. See you guys at orientation!!!
  16. I called today to check up. They are in the process of tallying the points and we should hear back by either the first or second of may. So hopefully next week!
  17. Yeah. Well I say we call during that last week of April and see what the cut off is so it will hopefully keeps us all from waiting so long. ?
  18. I was informed the reason it changed was due to the possibility of more snow days, at the point of her telling me this we had already had 3 so far for the year.
  19. I was in there two weeks ago talking with gaytra and she stated that she wasnt going to start reviewing the applications until the end of April. So we probably wont get anything until the first or second week of may. But other threads have shown that you can call during that week and maybe find out what the cut off is for the semester.
  20. This test was pretty easy. If you used the evolve hesi admission assessment book than you'll do fine. The chemistry section was very easy and basic information to know. The reading is smaller passages than most practice tests you would find online. Also you get to choose your time you spend on each section so you dont have to stick to what the exam actually says and you start in any of the sections. Good luck next week! I turned in my application today with 81 points. Its pushing it but it's still a chance. Now we get sit and wait. ? it's going to be brutal!
  21. How was the chemistry section? What did it emphasize on?
  22. Hey, I am turning in my application on Tuesday, right after taking my hesi a2 test. So I know how you feel. Esp since I need a 90 or a 95 to have a great competitive preference points. I read some reviews from others on the hesi. It seems like it will be pretty easy to pass. I will also take the TEAS on the 27th of this month for occc. Good luck on your tests!
