  1. Hi guys. I am sorry it took so long to reply. I was chosen for an interview with DCN. I've been a cna since 2016 and have been working as a cna for denver health float pool for over two years. I also volunteered at a local hospital for six months. My grades arent terrible, but also not above average either. I applied with a 3.1. I can tell you for one that I pouted my heart and soul into the essay . I have heard from a coworker and current bsn student at DCN that her friend applied and got denied. She redid her essay and reapplied and got in. Dont give up! Tiyana
  2. Oh, that makes sense! I honestly have no idea about a personality test. Though, it is possible. I am sure we will have more information soon. Tiyana
  3. Hi Ali. The entrance exam is called the hesi a2. It covers English comp and reading as well as math. Hope this helps!
  4. Hey everyone!! One more week. How is everyone feeling?? Tiyana
  5. I hope so too!! I've been pretty good T keeping my cool, but the closer it gets the more anxious I get about it. Haha!
  6. I know several RN's that went to school here , and a few that currently attend that I work with at Denver Health. They are all fantastic nurses and can only hope to be half as great as them. I am so excited and hope to meet you guys ?
  7. That is a heavy load! You do not need to have patho for the pre-reqs. I would drop it if you can lighten your load my friend
  8. I'm finishing up micro this semester, how about you? Exciting times my friends!
  9. I grew up in Sacramento and used to work in the east bay (13 years ago). How cool! I cant speak for all of us but I am nervous also. Welcome welcome. Hope it all works out
  10. I know, right!?!?! Just patiently waiting to hear on the reply lol!
  11. Very nice! Are you interviewing on the 10th? The application doesn't close until january 1st so I was unaware interviews would take place so soon.
  12. I am in lakewood, colorado!
  13. Hi! I applied also. Nervous. Where are you from
  14. Hey guys! I withdrew my application a few days ago. I may have to get surgery (nothing major) and didnt want to take up a spot for someone who knew they could make the July start. I wish you all so much luck! I plan to apply for the October or January start ? Tiyana
  15. I live in lakewood which is about 10 minutes from downtown. It's pretty central to everything which is nice. Yes, boulder is so awesome but the commute would suck. Nursing school wont be easy so you nat and well make getting there and back home easy for those days you are absolutely exhausted. If you want easy access to downtown then I would look into Capitol hill, governors park area. It's more expensive but great for young, single people. Lots of night life . If you have kids or are married and like things to be quieter then golden, lakewood, and wheatridge are great areas! I hope this is helpful:)
