Advice; new rn student and start nurse aide position-feeling dumb?
Hi all Well I am not sure if dumb is the word but here's my dilemma. I would appreciate any advice anyone who has been is my shoes can share. I am starting the rn program next month and a new nurse aide job in our local hospital this week. I am a cna but have minimal experience. I am anxious to get started but feel, I don't know, stupid because I have not had that much clinical experience. I do not want to be in anyones way and I feel I learn fast, perhaps I am just nervous about my new exciting ventures? Is this normal/typical? thanks

role of cna in addiction services facility
Hello, I was curious as to what a nurse aide's duties might include in a specialty facility that has live in patients trying to overcome alcohol/drug addiction. Thank you.

How much math did you use in nursing school?
HI there Math is my weakness and I am wondering how much math do you actually use in nursing school and what type of math? On our local comm college nursing announcements page it says "anyone not math competent after March 13 will be dropped from the program" So I am just curious! Thanks

correspondence courses/pre reqs
I was under the impression that since I earned my GED and have no high school chem or algeb. I needed to take college level algebra for a pre req. Well two of the local nursing schools will accept high school algeb and chem courses from online correspondence schools. )mathcourses.com or ectschool.com) Does anyone have any experience with these? They are less expensive than a college credited course. Thanks!
