  1. Milani, Congratulations! I received the same. It is the initial acceptance, like rehmijane said. We have to accept it, and then they do the background check. After we pass that, we should get instructions for the drug test and submitting the vaccination record. The packet will arrive via email on 5/15 if we pass the background check. I can't wait to meet our cohort and commence classes! ?
  2. Kimberly, Which class are you completing on Aug. 31st? If you are taking them through Alamo Colleges, I think that you should be OK as they have access to those final grades right away. If it is at another school, you might need to go to the transcript department to make sure that you can get the final grades posted & transcipts in time. This is all just what I think, though. I would email to be sure. The lady to email to ask is very nice and helpful. Her name is Elida Connell and the email address is: [email protected]. Good Luck!
  3. Hi Mariah! I emailed this morning and received a response right away that information should go out on Friday. I know that they had canceled the clinicals for this semester and are probably trying to figure out how to proceed with the entire program. Good luck to you as well! ?
  4. Did anyone on here apply for Fall 2020 admission to SAC's program and if so, have you heard anything yet?
  5. Did you complete your program through Hallmark? If so, were you pleased, and would you recommend it?
  6. I got the info from her sister, but I think that it was probably a med surg position, and maybe she hadn't trained in that particular job enough. It didn't totally make sense, and I wish the info had been clearer, because of course it made me worry. Congrats on your starting the BSN program next year! I am going to take one more semester at the community college to complete the prerequisites to save $ before I apply for the BSN program. Please, let me know if you have any more info about the program.
  7. Any info. about these BSN programs? I understand the Hallmark BSN program is new as of 2018. I will complete all of my pre-req's next semester. I have added a couple of classes to make sure that I am able to get into both of these, and most BSN programs, aside from UT as they require Texas core curriculum. I am not as young as some, and don't want to put in the additional time of completing those courses. I recently spent time in a hospital with my dad, with Galen student nurses, and Baptist Health student nurses. Galen's SN's seemed very happy. I am very interested in the Hallmark program because there are some prereq's at Galen that you can't take elsewhere, and I would prefer to not have to spend time or money on those. I believe that Hallmark does clinicals at Methodist hospital, and am wondering if anyone has any experience with getting hired by Methodist after doing clinicals. I have heard from Galen people that they get hired fairly easily, only one person told me that she was having trouble getting a certain type of nursing job because she has a bachelor's degree from Galen.
