  1. Hey everyone! I just want to let you guys know that calling them and bugging them won’t help at all!!!!! She will email you guys when your time comes! It took took about 1.5 years for them to respond from when I applied. So just wait :) once they email you, the ball starts rolling almost ASAP!
  2. I don’t have it on me ? it should be in the packet she handed out
  3. It’s in that flyer that was handed out.
  4. Nov 12! If you’re going can you lmk what info is given out? I have work that day and can’t go ?
  5. We are supposed to wear our burgundy scrubs for the fire safety and cpr classes. The patch only goes on the white scrubs. We don’t need the ID badge until we start winter. Most of us don’t have ID’s yet and can’t get one until Angel registers us for our classes around Dec 1
  6. Yeah, I think it says on one of the papers too that we should be in our uniforms
  7. Yeah I remember angel saying that it can be any brand and any style as long as it meets the fit requirements I think angel said not to do that until dec 1?
  8. No, they have dickeys though haha!! I bought a silky Light polyester scrub. I wear Cherokee at work and that’s a good brand too, but honestly it doesn’t matter. As long as it’s comfortable
  9. Hi! I just bought one burgundy set and one white set in a uniform place in El Monte. It was $25/set for me. It’s pretty decently priced! Look up “Uniform $3.99” on yelp!
  10. You’re probably going to get admitted Fall 2020! Good luck! You’re almost there!!
  11. Mandatory meeting on Monday at 9am for those of you starting spring 2020!!!!! Make sure you’re not late! See y’all there! So excited ?
  12. A few of us have received our letters! Angel is still sending them out. I applied Feb 2018. So it’s like a year and a half wait for a letter
  13. I’m probably going today or tomorrow to turn in fees
  14. I GOT MY LETTER TODAY!!!!
  15. OH YAY!! Cool!!! I was getting anxious waiting for a call. Haha thanks for going in person to ask!
  16. Oh so are you saying that those of us who got a survey should not be expecting a call?
  17. WOW!!!! Congrats!!!!!
  18. At least within this month Hahah I guess we just have to be patient.
  19. The associates in RAD Tech would help if you apply to other schools too, but wouldn’t really help with the LATTC program since you’re already on the waiting list. You should be fine without it! Also, you gave birth to a little fighter ??
  20. All my friends who already completed nursing school told me it’s hard to get ahead. But you can prepare yourself by touching up on physiology, and medical terminology helps. Radio techs make decent money! It’ll take you like a year or so to get certified. Considering that, you’d only be able to work as a radio tech for a year. If you’re ok with that, I say go for it! But that’s a whole year of not working while you’re in school. Im not sure what position you can apply to with your degree to be honest ? I think most people use that degree to work on becoming a PT? Honestly, I think anyone who wants to be a nurse should try becoming a CNA. It’s hard work, but very humbling. You can get the CNA certificate from a Community college that offers the program, such a Rio Hondo, in one semester. You will appreciate nursing in a different way and it will show in you when you become an RN. From what I’ve seen, nurses who were CNA’s before becoming RN’s are the better nurses because they learn to give credit and respect to the other nursing staff and the respect the patients more. On top of that, you get experience working with patients so when you start the program you won’t be afraid of diving in and getting hands on. Another plus side to it is that if you land a job in a hospital as a CNA, they’re more willing to take you as an RN. But just some words of advice for anyone who decide to become a CNA, don’t get stuck working in a nursing home. They under pay you, and the work load is ridiculous. I hope this helps! Sorry for the long post.
  21. To be honest, be ready to wait two years y’all. That’s how long I waited. I applied Feb 2018 and I’m starting Feb 2020. While I waited I worked at a hospital and lived my best life before I sell my soul to nursing school. It would be smart, if possible for you guys, to apply to other schools while you wait. I didn’t because I didn’t feel like my grades were competitive enough.
  22. Yeah you should have heard something already. I think you were supposed to start Fall 2019 if you applied Oct 2017. Last time I emailed Angel during spring semester she said she was contacting people who applied Aug and Sept 2017 so they could start Fall 2019. Maybe she contacted those who applied Oct back then too
  23. Yeah the survey basically asks questions like that. Sweet! I just completed my survey! So excited for my letter in Sept!
