  1. I took the review course through one of our local hospitals. If you go to www.ccprnet.org, they have online practice tests you can purchase for the exam. Make sure to print the exam outline from www.nccnet.org, because my review course followed that to the tee. I am following that outline to study. :nuke:
  2. Mandy, PPRN, I just took a 2-day review course and two books they highly recommended were: 1) AWHONN Perinatal Nursing, Simpson and Creehan; 2) AWHONN Core Curriculum for Maternal-Newborn Nursing, Mattson & Smith. I will be taking my exam in July, and I have purchased both books. The Core Curriculum is the one I'm reveiwing from, it is in an outline format and easier to follow. Good luck!
  3. Hello all, had quite an interesting question from an OB today concerning the On-Q Pain Ball used in the incision site after a c/section. The physician would actually be filling the ball with the appropriate medication, which I believe is bupuvicaine and for the first 2nd - 3rd days, moms can actually enjoy their precious bundles without the harsh side effects of narcotics........ Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this or is even using yet? Your reponses would be great. Thanks, and have a great night.:paw::paw::prdnrs: SHEREE
