  1. Thank for replying! I also have loans and a car note so I need to work. So far I've been able to manage. I work at night so I could have lecture right after but I'll be fall asleep! How were you able to work and go to school at the same time? Any tips?
  2. I will start class the first week of January and lucklily I've been able to work around it since I only have to be on campus once a week. But I will talk to my manager next coming semester since I will have to be there three days a week. When I was hired my boss asked if I was going to be able to make it work and if there's any issues with scheduling I would have to work it out with her. So we will see!
  3. Hello everyone! I've been on this website almost every day since I started my journey on becoming a nurse! This is my first post, and I am looking for some advice. I recently just started a new job as a CNA and I love it! I am excited to be surrounded so many knowledgeable nurses and I am grateful for this opportunity. Anyways, I start nursing school in January so my schedule will be a little hectic. I am currently working the three 12 hour night shift. Where I work there are only two CNA on night shift so it's basically between me and another guy. I have had some scheduling conflicts with him, considering we choose our own schedule alternatively. He does not seem to want to accommodate me on the days that I have class. Here's my thought there is really one day where I cannot work because class ends at 5PM and I have to be at work by 6:45 PM. It normally takes me 40- 1hr to get to work from home, but according to google it'll take 40-1 hr 30mins from school to work and from work to home. I hate the crazy traffic. Long story short, what should I do? I know that its not his problem, but I just started here and I need a job. I am also excited for school. Any suggestions? I can suck it up and drive but I am afraid of the traffic and I do not want to risk being late.
