  1. Hello @sbacheller - I decided against going to Utica for a few reasons. First being I took an online class and I had no motivation to follow along until it was time to cram for the exams. This would not bode well for me since this is how most their curriculum is. This with the theme I heard from other students and it being a 60k BSN pushed me further away. I have since applied to a few entry level MSN programs and have been accepted and will be attending that program in January. I only have to complete 2 more prereqs, cost is less than Utica, and it is an in person program. I wish you luck in whatever school you attend!
  2. I have not been. I am out of state. I havent seen any information sessions come up. I attended the UC one via the Web back in January but nothing for MSJ. I am totally leaning towards MSJ and offered to come onsite for my interview but still going to be through Skype. I think I am relatively rounded with my interview skills for the work place which should hopefully transition into nailing it for the program. I know the 'why' behind my 'what' as well as my role model ? Congrats to you on getting in and I hope you crush it through the program! Thank you for the info ?
  3. Thanks for the info maggie16. I was actually contacted last week for an interview for later this month and I am stoked!! The post interview timelines are good to hear. Sounds like a quick yes/no. Did you do an in person or skype interview with Dr. H? What was that like? Any tips to help me prepare? Do you live in the area? What is housing like out there?
  4. Hey SDRM, sorry for the late reply. I was conditionally accepted so long as I maintain the GPA with my current courses. However, I pushed my application to August 2019. They allow you to do this once I guess. The admissions counselor is great and keeps me in the loop on everything. From what I have heard they accept everyone though.
  5. Hi All, I have applied to the Mount St Joseph MAGELIN Fall 2019 cohort. I finished my application and attachments at the beginning of the month. Last week I believe was Spring Break so not sure if any reviews were done. After finding some posts on here I see that some people were granted interviews just two weeks after completing their application. Anyone else apply yet or hear back? I still have Microbio and Patho to take but have over a 3.5 GPA in their prereqs with about 10 years of business experience in my current field. Really hoping to get in. Good luck everyone!
  6. Hi All, Has anyone else applied to Utica's May 2019 Cohort? I have just applied and looking for fellow applicants. I know reviews seem to be pretty bad for the program but I have spoken, emailed, chatted, with a few people in the program and that have graduated from the program. Same theme: It is hard, it is disorganized, you will have no life, you are done in 16 months. Rather than wait for a 2020 acceptance from other schools I chose to go heads down for May 19 to be finished when I would be just starting some of the other programs. Look forward to chatting and possibly being in the same cohort :)
