No, they do an interview day where they interview all their RN applicants and they'll let you sign up for one specialty & med surg (for us they allowed us to choose med surg or surgical services though) and you'll get called one by one to interview.

I'm a new grad nurse and I start my residency in the ICU in a few weeks..I wanted to know of any tips you guys might have for someone starting out in an intensive area?? Thanks ?

I start at Novant in the Critical Care Residency in a few weeks. I know for us, I was sent an offer in October and I think I applied in September, so not too long. I know women's & children's is a competitive track, but I'm not sure how many people got accepted there. As far as the interview goes, I would just be yourself, stay calm & show that your passionate about nursing and the track you're interviewing for.

We finish in December. It went by so fast, but also very good!! The hard work definitely pays off.
