  1. @Lyn23 Thanks for the info! ? When applying for the private loan, what dates did you use for the academic term? I think the 4th module would start in August, right?
  2. @Lyn23 thank you for the information! That's what I am thinking of doing, as well. How did you know how much to take out for the private loan? Did you go off of the estimate of $22,158 for the first three modules and subtract your federal aid?
  3. @whoAmItoSay thank you! It took about 3 weeks to hear back once everything was verified. I have not figured out everything financially but I plan on taking out a private loan. @Lyn23 if you are okay with me asking, did you use a credit union or a company like SallyMae?
  4. Wait.. my bad? I was thinking of a different conversation haha
  5. Thanks for the info! I'm in state :)
  6. When did you receive your letter? Did they email you first?
  7. Sorry, I can't help you :/ but I'm wondering the same thing! My application was verified last week; now I'm just waiting. When was yours verified?
  8. My application was just verified on nursingCAS last week and I am waiting to hear back from MNU :) Did you have a bachelor's degree? How long did it take you to receive your acceptance letter?
  9. I got an 83 on my TEAS, but I do not have a bachelor's degree. I guess we will see. :) Where are you from? Olathe is a suburb of Kansas City, along with Overland Park, Lenexa, and Shawnee. They all sort of blend together and are beautiful suburban areas with lots of shopping areas, parks, and restaurants. There are lots of wooded areas around. The campus itself is very beautiful. It really depends; if you go north, you'll be in Kansas City-- a highly populated area with a historic downtown, but if you go south, you'll find lots of farmland and small towns. Lots of diversity! The people in Kansas, and the midwest in general, are typically down to earth, laid back, and very friendly. There are also a ton of local attractions and cool things to do! As for the cost of living, it really depends. Compared to other states, Kansas has a relatively lower cost of living. However, Johnson County is probably the highest in Kansas. It depends how close you want to live to the campus. There are some very nice, expensive areas around, but there are also some that are much more reasonable.
  10. My stats are very similar to yours. Have you sent in your application yet? Heard anything back?
  11. Congrats! I haven't been through the program, but I will be applying for the Spring 2019 cohort, as well. From what I've heard, Chapel isn't required in the ABSN program. I've lived near the town all my life and have nothing but good things to say about it. If you don't mind my asking, would you be able to share your stats? I'm wondering if mine are competitive enough.
  12. I heard back from admissions. They said all acceptance and waitlist letters were sent out last Wednesday. Rejection letters will be sent out this Wednesday.
  13. Yep. Nothing for me today either. I'm wondering if they sent them out according to rank. Or maybe they only sent out acceptance letters :/
  14. I'm a V. Interesting. Has anyone heard anything else from the admissions office? I emailed them earlier but haven't heard anything back.
