  1. Wanted to keep yinz updated, just talked to my detailer yesterday and have ODS orders for February and duty station orders to San Diego in March! He said things are starting to calm down now and open up so hope you guys hear something soon! It's been a hell of a process
  2. Usually the 15th of every month
  3. I am supposed to hear from my detailer next week about orders so we will see I guess
  4. When did your packet go to the board? And when did they say the next ODS class was June? I was chosen as a med surg nurse (found out in October) and was told I should be in the April ODS class, hoping to go in Feb if a seat opens
  5. hey guys so I am waiting to hear from my detailer to figure out orders. does anyone know how long it usually takes to find out my first duty station after giving the detailer my top 3? also anyone going to ODS in either February or April?
  6. Anyone know how long it takes to get your ODS and Duty Station orders, I got my final acceptance letter last week so just waiting again patiently for orders
  7. Hey guys I know this is an older thread but I have found some very useful info! I was just recently accepted into the Naval nursing corps and I'm waiting to get my ODS orders. Does anyone remember how long it takes to get ODs orders and also my recruiter told me my detailer will contact me in November but I've heard you should contact them first because they are busy. I made a duty preference sheet with my recruiter but would like to change one of the Duty stations. My recruiter told me I should be able to commission in December then go to ODS in January or February. Super excited and super anxious. Would just love to have orders

  9. Interviews aren't bad at all, they basically just want to get to know you, why you want to join the navy etc..mine was more of just a friendly conversation then an interview
  10. Well still waiting on a final acceptance letter, it's been almost 3 weeks! Ugh so frustrating. Hopefully I hear any day now and get orders!
  11. MEPs was annoying! I had to get a bunch of records from my OBGYN because I am on birth control.. but I'm still waiting for the final word on my application. Such a long process ready to be over and swear in already lol
  12. Hey I guys I know this is an older thread but I just found out I was selected by the board, pending final quota which I should hear in a couple days. Can anyone tell me when I'll get a hard copy of my acceptance and then how long it takes to get orders. I'd appreciate any help! Thank you
  13. Hey guys! I found out yesterday that I was professionally recommended by the board! Just waiting on the final word/quota and then another couple weeks for orders!
  14. Hi anchorRN. I was wondering if you could help me. I know this post was from awhile ago. I applied for direct accession to be a naval officer. I have been a nurse for almost three years and I am credentialed in med-surg. my application was supposed to be reviewed September 15 so I am waiting to hear back from them. do you know how long it takes for the board to give an answer and how long I wait for orders ect. is there a way to see what duty stations need RNs. its been a long process and I'm just anxious for some answers. thanks you
  15. Anyone know how long it takes for the board to give you an answer?? It's been about 2 weeks since my application was supposed to be reviewed
  16. When was your application submitted, I'm not sure about reserves though
  17. @gabby_101 I can totally relate to your recruiter not being proactive. mine has messed up and prolonged my application process. I was supposed to go to ODS in august then it got pushed back and he didn't even submit my application until august so I had to wait for the September board to meet. so now hopefully I hear something soon since they met last week. hoping there are med-surg spots available and I can go to ODS asap
  18. Hey there! I am currently waiting to hear back from the board to see if I am selected. I applied for Active Duty and credentialed in Med-Surg. I've been an RN for over 2 years. with 1 1/2 years in trauma/med-surg and about 8 months in critical care. its been a longgggg process and I'm just anxious to get an answer. At this point I will take any position and go anywhere they need me. I'm just ready to be a US naval nurse. does anyone know how long it takes the board to get the decision back to my recruiter? my recruiter doesn't seem to know much or at least share a lot of info with me which is frustrating. I would love to commission and go to ODS before the end of the year but from what I hear the chance is slim and I may have to wait until jan/feb. anyways I'm done rambling. good luck to everyone who is applying!
