Hi, when I applied last year, there was no essay requirement. I called and asked if it would be looked down upon to send one in anyway. And the person who answered basically said that they will review everything I send to them. I did send an essay and I did get an interview.

Hi! I would like to work in NYC and I was wondering if there is a hospital that has CRNAs take cardiac cases? I know there are a lot of residency programs in NYC hospitals so I assume that all of the cases go to the residents. Thanks!

Hey!! I have been trying to get added to the facebook group and I haven't been accepted by admin. I sent Admin a PDF and have sent the request a week ago. Hi ! Applied to Allegheny last week. Has anyone attended this school or know anyone that has completed the program? The first time pass rate is only 80%... maybe due to the speed of the program, but I would lie to hear some feedback from students!

Hello! Has as anyone heard back from Samuel Merritt Unversity's CRNA program? On their site it says to expect invitations for interviews in January, but that is quite a length of time between application deadline. Who else applied there!?

They called me for an interview today. Interview in January!

I called today and asked some questions... They're reviewing apps again this week, then will notify us in two weeks regarding interview invites. Next interview dates are Nov 26, Dec 7, and 2 dates in January. - 14 people per interview. About 35 people accepted as of now, out of 70 seats. Around 200 applicants total.

Has anyone been invited for October interviews? I have not heard ANYTHING and I know they've been denying people for interviews. But I haven't received that either... just waiting...

Oh no... the hope is coming BACK! 90 applicants isn't bad! I was expecting more. I turned in my app a couple of days before the deadline. How was the interview? Pretty nice? grueling?

I still haven't heard back. I was waiting at first, now I am just moving on to my other applications... It was the first one I sent so I was excited. I'm sure they have made their interview decisions by now. :/

Yeah it's a new program, only four years old or so... I know they take 12 students and all your classes are taught by two ppl- the program director and the clinical coordinator. So it's intimate.

I haven't heard back about an interview yet! I applied just last week :) I've been a nurse for 6 years, 2 in ICU. I live in NYC. Yes! They're so nice and it looks like a great program.

Congrats and good luck! When did you apply? And do you mind sharing your stats? I have a 3.2 undergrad gpa but I've done a lot of good things in my work, volunteered, and certifications.
