  1. Hello All, I am 27, and I have been trying to get in the RN program for too long! I need your help! I am currently trying to get in to the RN program in California. I have completed the requirements for the BSN and ADN programs, and I have been applying to universities and community colleges, because I know how competitive it is in California. I have a 4.0 in science classes and a 3.7 in my pre-req's, I do not have medical experience, nor do I know a foreign language. I have continued to get rejection letters, and it has made me look into other ways of getting to the finish line. I have considered the LVN-to-RN program, but do not want to extend my time in school if I do not have to. I have also heard out of state programs are easier to get into to, but I am not sure, and I do not know how hard it would be to switch my license back to California if I was going to go out of state. I will keep applying to schools in California, but if there is a better option I will opt for that.
