Starting a thread for those who applied to SBU's FNP program for Summer 2026!

I'm getting this information from this forum since people are saying they got an offer letter not from my own experience.. I'm on the same boat as you I was told February and that's what I'm waiting for since I haven't got an email since my interview. But all the interviews for FNP are definitely all completed and there are no more last couple were in December.

I think all the interviews are done for FNP and some people received waitlist and acceptance emails. I'm not sure about acute care though. I didn't receive anything yet after my interview but it's very split with who got a response and who didn't.

What did the email say for your acceptance?

Did anyone else already hear that they were accepted into program ?

That really does suck because I heard a lot of people get off the waitlisted and get in. What program starts now?

Did anyone find out if they got in yet? Apparently they let people who got waitlisted or not accepted know before the people who got into program.

Just think about what would be the best option for you and what would work best with your life that's what I had to do.. weigh out pros and cons

Trust me I've been conflicted for forever... but I feel like going to Suffolk for me would be the best because I can go to school and work full time. I was conflicted on even accepting but I thought about how hard it is to get into any program and Suffolk is a great program.

I don't think it will even let us enroll and they will go over everything December 7.

Omg I looked into that class in Smithtown but can't this weekend ugh. But I believe in all of us no matter what our circumstances are we will over come it :)

Hello everyone, just wondering does everyone here or most of you guys also have a full time job as well as taking up this program?

Does anyone need to get CPR certified and want to do it with me? I was certified but it expired and I also believe we need a specific one.

Okay so I was worried but they told me that my major was changed for next semester and didn't change because we cannot register yet. Said it will change once priority registration starts..

That's so weird I paid my bill like Thursday last week so maybe it'll change sometime today or tomorrow

I need to be recertified too but I was CPR/AED/First Aid before don't we need like the CPR BLS course for nursing school?

Hey everyone who got accepted and is deciding to accept.. can you buy any all white sneakers or do they want us to buy specific ones?

I got my hard copy in the mail Saturday

They definitely do have an orientation for incoming RN and LPN-RN just hope I can make it because it would help a lot
