  1. I think there's better opportunities for you in US than Canada. Inquire at Canada Board of Nursing, I believe you need to take additional refresher course here, which will spend you more money, before you can land a job. Email the state board where you want to work and ask for guidance.
  2. Thanks to all positive responses. I really appreciate the encouragement. I was actually in communication with Penssylvania Hospital offering i think a 6-8 week re-entry program for $1200, but they said I need a licensure or permit from the state board of Pensylvania. I'm still looking for other hospitals that offers re-entry program. I know there are some that offer paid training, I'm just not sure which hospital. If you know anything please let me know. A paid training would be really great, considering that I'm jobless now, finance is really tight.
  3. Hi, I'm from Canada and would like to re-enter nursing. Getting into a refresher course here will cost me a lot and will take about 1 to 2 years. I've been out of workforce for 14 years now. Is it impossible for me to re-enter the workforce? Do you think I can still make it? I'm not that old yet, I'm 39 and I believe I can still do this. Does anybody know any US hospitals who gives free re-entry, what are the requirements. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
