Hey guys, check your castlbrabch, it looks like they added a Covid vaccination “to-do”. I just uploaded my card, but it looks like it’s not a requirements right now. Also, did anyone apply to HCC’s ADN program?

I’m an alternate for San Jac North as well! I didn’t apply to any LVN programs though, so it’s good that you did! Hopefully our chances are good.

So this kind of random, but does anyone know how San Jac is handling courses with COVID? Are the nursing classes going to be online or on campus?

Yes, it was frustrating because it wouldn’t accept my pdf transcripts. Finally I had to submit without it and emailed them with the attached pdf transcripts. Hopefully that works.. I applied last semester so they should have it on file.

Has anyone on the alternate list heard anything?

Hi, I also mailed my application recently and was slightly freaked out about the transcript evaluation. I emailed the nursing department about it and they said I needed it (even though I explained that most of my pre-reqs were completed at San Jac). So then I called San Jac to get an “ADN transcript evaluation” and they told me there’s no need for an evaluation if I’m already a student there. The woman also said there was no such thing as a specific evaluation for the ADN program. So I mailed my application without it.. here’s hoping we’re okay without it!

Hi, so I've taken the HESI for another school, and I'm taking the critical thinking portion for SJC tomorrow. Does anyone have any tips for me? Is it difficult? I know it doesn't count towards determining admission, but I'm sending my scores to HCC Nursing where it does count.

It was $80-90. I can't remember the exact price, I got it like a month ago. But it includes your drug test & background check as well.

Hi guys, I'm planning on mailing my application either today or tomorrow. I have all of the necessary documents already and CastleBranch done. But I realized the application says "you must have an ADN transcript evaluation before applying". Does anyone know how I go about doing that? Do I still need an ADN evaluation if I completed all my pre-reqs at San Jac?

I haven’t even received the code for castlebranch yet.. but that’s probably because I applied April 1st on the deadline. Do you guys think I should be worried yet? Or maybe they’re just running behind due to COVID-19?
