I really hope that I'll be able to work the courses around my work schedule with all the nights and weekends unfortunately. I also couldn't even get approval for a full week of vacation time I'm entitled to! -.- Still I'm gonna stay optimistic!

Thanks for the quick response! Do you mind expanding a little on the process you went through to enroll? Did you have to ask your floor manager to allow certain days off or time off to complete the clinical? Also are you allowed to do placement at your place of employment? Hi guys! I am a 24 y/o RN currently working on a busy acute medicine floor in Hamilton, ON! I was hired as a new grad and have been working in medicine for a bit over 1.5 years now. I've been a long time lurker of this site and I was hoping if anyone could shed some light on how to obtain a perioperative nursing certificate while still working part time. I called a continuing education coordinator for Mohawk College regarding the program and she told me that it can take up to a year to complete and that the final clinical will be full time work for several weeks. My question is whether it possible to complete this course successfully given my situation? I hoping for some positive answers! Thanks a bunch! :)
