  1. How to become a clinical nurse researcher

    I am a fairly new nurse that is interested in becoming a clinical nurse researcher. I have two and a half years of medical/surgical experience. I see quite a few nurse researcher positions posted, but they all require research experience. Plus, a lot of them require oncology experience. I really don't like bedside nursing, so would oncology experience in a clinic setting suffice? I've been interested in research since before I became a nurse. What classes or certifications will help me? What advice do you have for someone trying to get their foot in the door?
