  1. I have a friend who told she enrolled in school for medical assistant. I was asking which school she chose and then we got to how much it's going to to cost her. I was shocked to know she had to take a student loan of $21000 for her classes. Isn't that ridiculous? It's about $4000-ish at my local technical college. I knew it would be higher since it's a private college but still. The red other red flag is she's enrolled with no high school diploma or GED. Isn't that required? So if there's any actual medical assistant out there, please enlighten me.
  2. Hi, I recently completed my CNA course and started looking for jobs through agencies. One particular agency call me, I filled out the application, the same day I got called to attend orientation. At the orientation, I signed everything I had to sign and was given a name tag. But now it's been weeks, with no start date; I called them and they told me if they don't call me, it's because they don't have a case for me yet. Is this normal or did they hire me just in case they might need and should I start looking elsewhere?
