  5. Hi! I am starting the ABSN Spring Cohort at JCHS. Just wanted to reach out and see if there were others starting in Spring?
  6. Hi kcmason and Big_Mike! I am also going to the spring 2019 cohort. I am finishing my prereqs this semester. Do you guys want to exchange contact info?
  7. TY! I checked it out.... Apparently i live in the wrong state! None of those programs are approved or partner here.
  8. Oh wow! I wish we had something like that here; I have a non-nursing degree already and it will prob. cost me 45K to get a second bachelor's through the ABSN program. NICU nurse! do you love it? I volunteer for Ronald McDonald House and not that it's like working in the NICU but I deal with a lot of the parents of those little ones.
  9. Where did you live that there was a state school for that price? there are no programs like that at state schools here....

  12. TY!! I have looked into the program at my community college. They just don't offer a rotating time to apply; like fall and spring; it's only in the fall and tough to get into at the community college! Also, the hospitals here to do not have an RN program; i did try that; thought that would be a good way to go too! I had someone else in the field tell me that once i get my RN I could just get my bsn online and that the hospital here she works for pays for it. I am applying to the only local ABSN program here; we will see if i get in!!
  13. TYVM! I will be looking into this program!
  14. Thanks for the response. I have looked into the RN programs here; and I am considering that if I don't get into the ABSN or even if I get in to the program. I am concerned that a few of the places that I can get my RN and get in quickly are not some of the better schools and I really want to be fully prepared to take the NCLEX. I only have 2 more prereqs for the ABSN.....woohooo! So I am going to take them at a 2 year school to save some $$. Will still be that much closer to my BSN (: My friend that went through the ABSN program is working in a hospital here now. She said that the RN's are only making a $1 less than the BSN's and the workplace will pay the RN's to go through the online BSN after they have obtained their RN! I wish you luck in your pursuits!!
  15. WOW the tuition though...... :0
  16. TYVM!! I would not have found this! I am looking at it now (:
  17. Thanks! Appreciate the input! I did find those, but unfortunately I am not in any of those states! Awwww.....I bet you love working the NICU!! Prob. the best and the worst all rolled into one!
  18. TY!! I will look into this! And i have family in ATL and use to live there. May be an option!
  19. Thanks! Appreciate the input! I did find those, but unfortunately I am not in any of those states! Awwww.....I bet you love working the NICU!! Prob. the best and the worst all rolled into one!
  20. Sorry for the repeats....I am not use to this online forum and replying and commenting...
  21. Thanks! I have been looking and I'm applying to the only local accelerated program in my area... very expensive but have the time! I was looking for an alternative back up plan to complete the coursework as maybe a hybrid/online program with clinicals locally.... any back up in case i don't get in. I have seen others on here state they are going to accelerated bsn with non nursing degrees... Just hoping to find a clue maybe...

  23. Ok...I completed my pre-reqs. I have applied somewhere, but idk if I will get in. I was hoping to have a back up plan for a BSN program maybe complete the coursework partially online and partially in the field...
  24. And there are no online "partial" programs for BSN for someone who already holds a Bachelor's degree?
  25. Hi! I am a returning student who already holds a Bachelors degree in another field. I would like to pursue a BSN, but seem to be running into some road blocks. Has anyone successfully completed an online program for a BSN without holding an RN? Or....Do i just get my RN first? and if so, are there straight online programs for this? Thanks!! *excitedtopursuenewendeavors*
