  1. Moving isn't an option, since I have a child my support system here is vital for my ability to go to school at all. Living with family is also not even remotely an option. My parents, although I love them, have a toxic/abusive relationship that caused me all sorts of issues as a child and adult and it's not something I'm willing to subject my child to. I do have court ordered child support. He just does everything he can to not pay. Owes me like 15 grand already . Thanks for your response though! I'm kind of wondering how other single parents are making it happen for them?
  2. Hey guys! I've spent the last 2 years (4 semesters) completely my prerequisite classes for my local nursing program. I'll be applying this February and I'm feeling nervous about the finanacial aspect. I'm a single mother, no help financial or otherwise from my daughters dad. I work two jobs to scrape by as is with my bills. We live in an expensive area in a "tiny house" type studio. I already took out small loans for my prerequisites and am scared that I'll end up with massive debt after I get out of the program. Any advice maybe?
