Thx you so much for the advice . I have been reflecting on those 2 choices for many days now. I know my limitations and now suffering from high anxiety due my last travel dialysis assignments, I decided to go for ICU. Dialysis itself is not hard, and can be boring most times. It's mostly management that can make the experience awful, with the abuse of power. Unfortunately, that was my experience with the 2 travel assignments. I m now on prozac , as sad as it sounds. I m not saying that ICU is perfect, but I feel that I will learn and grow so much more, than constantly doing the same thing over and over again with dialysis. Also, driving 4 hrs a day, is mentally exhausting, to the point that the next day, I can recover fast enough. I definitely want to grow my own business, but I ll always be a nurse at heart, even I eventually just work part time. I feel that ICU will open the doors to work with pediatric or even newborn later on. I am grateful for my dialysis experience, but I feel that I m ready for a new chapter , and it's time to move on. Oviously , I will miss the high paychecks I got custom to. Like my therapist said, 4 hrs is a long time to drive for something I am not excited on doing. Yet, I feel crazy for turning down 10 k monthly, and choosing the low paying staff job, which will cover my living expenses for me and my family.
  2. Thank you so much. I got it now, I just had to ignore that last part. Not sure why the question was confusing, even though the label had nothing to do with the answer. Thank you again.
  3. I agree. I think they meant to say ml per dose. If that was the case, will the 12 ml per dose be correct ?? And when would I use the 37 ml or 60 ml reconstitution data?? With what kind of questions???
  4. Why would it say read the label and calculate ???
  5. Well, do they just want the 0.3 g per dose??? What about all the other informations ??? I am confused.
  6. So I know that the tot volume after reconstitution will be 60 mL, and I also know that I have to add 37 ml to something.......
  7. Hello, I have a question I am struggling with. The orders is for Omnicef (cefdinir), oral suspension 300 mg po q12 hr for 10 days. The label say 125mg/5mL , Reconstitute with 37 mL Water, and 60 mL when reconstituted. The question says to calculate how many grams of the antibiotic the patient will receive per dose??? THis is what I have so far: 300 mg ----> X 125 mg -----> 5 mL so, X = (300 * 5 ) / 125 = 12 mL Now I am stuck, because I am not sure what to do with the 37 mL and 60 mL. I don't understand how to read the question.... Can someone please help me. ???
  8. HI all. I also applied to both. And put 2nd bachelor as a priority. But I'm took most of my prerequisites at wcc, so I only had 424. Does anyone knows if you get 2 different letters for the traditional and second bachelor? The letter I got only said bsn program, it didn't specify. I ll call tomorrow to find out too. I hope this was just a rejection for the traditional prg.
