  1. Hello Everyone! I am currently in the process of applying into my University's BSN program here in Louisiana. My university most of the time only accepts students that have completed their general education coursework at the university. Normally there are between 80-90 applicants for 60 spots. The college stipulates that applicants must score a > 68% on TEAS and have a > 2.7 GPA science and overall . I am currently applying with a an 84.7% (top 10% at University and top 5% nationwide) on TEAS and 3.37 GPA. I have no C's nor repeated courses. GPA and test scores are combined together for ranking. I am extremely concerned that my stats are uncompetitive. A professor told me during advising that anyone with a TEAS greater than 80 is "basically guaranteed" a spot. Am I dead in the water, or is my anxiety warranted? Sorry for the long post. Also, we have no wait lists.
  2. I used the Mometrix ATI TEAS secrets and got an 85% and scored within the 90th percentile for my BSN program and the 94th percentile nationally. Ensure you have a solid understanding of your A&P from your gen-Ed classes. Take the practice tests under the same time constraints. Use them to gauge what you know and you don't. Study. Practice, practice, and practice. The more you work those practice problems, you become very familiar what they are about to throw at you. Good luck.
  3. AP I and AP II with lab course are very challenging and should not be take concurrently.
  4. My nursing program requires a 2.7 overall GPA as well as a 2.7 science GPA. Also a D is considered failing. As long as you are making A's and B's to counter that than you should be fine. It is also worth noting that my academic advisor told me that if you make a C in that class, take it and run with it. I ended up with a B. Plus my instructor just posted the slides online and we had to teach ourselves because the Nursing department wanted that class to be taught online.
