  1. Maybe you were just really prepared! I do think that a little bit of luck and a lot of knowledge falls into the NCLEX. I mean if you work on a neuro floor and a lot of your questions fall into drugs that pertain to neuro disorders, etc. the test may seem easier. If the questions you got were easy, you must have answered them correctly right? You did fine.
  2. Yes, I passed!
  3. Mine were just about the same. By the week before the exam, I would score anywhere between 60-80%
  4. I think it's great that you had such a positive experience! As beginning nurses we yearn for positive experiences. CHF flareups can happen at the drop of a hat. Personally, I don't think you should be 100% comfortable with everything thrown at you. That's just asking for something like a baby's head entrapped in a pelvis etc. It's wonderful that you picked up on those things! Unfortunately, the human body is so complex that eventually we all get duped by someones illness or injury.
  5. Thank you. I am working pool right now at the home, and frankly what they pay me is much higher than anything I've found. Now, if I take a regular position the wage drops by like $7. I should take a part time position at a hospital and stay pool where I'm at. Now I just have to find the balls to do just that.
  6. I've worked in long term care for years. I have been at this particular place 4 1/2 years. I like it. It's challenging, but I like it. I just graduated as an RN and don't know if I should take the job position there or not. Am I being a chicken by not applying at a hospital? Am I staying here because it's safe? Or is this where I belong? How did you decide that ltc was for you?
  7. I guess I don't know what to do now. I mean, I know if you fail you get a print out to look at. Do they send me my license and then that's it? Or, what exactly? I can't find any info on what to do if you pass....
  8. Thank you everyone for your support. I won't be leaving though. Now it's my turn to support everyone else. I'm so happy. I just started shrieking and crying when I saw pass. Truely one of the best days of my life. I get to go to work today!! My friends think I'm crazy and should have taken this weekend off. Are they insane? My life goal was to become a nurse. Today, I can work as a registered nurse. *sigh*
  9. Yes, yes I did!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I found conflicting info between some of the books. I thought Saunders was good and then Kaplan. I feel like recommending Saunders is beating a dead horse around here, but it truely is the closest. Same question length etc. I think for me the biggest part about studying was just keeping my mind on that track. Of course, I don't know if I passed yet or not so.... :imbar
  11. :Crash: If I check this darn pearson vue site again I'm going to lose it.
  12. Well, I wouldn't think potassium. Sodium is a better indicator. I guess between the three I would go with skin turgor. Oral membranes can dry out with a mouth breather. What was the fourth choice? As for the second question their orthostatics would be off if you're dehydrated. Their more prone to more significant drops with fluid loss.
  13. Where in Wi did you take it? I took mine on the 25th in Brookfield. Still waiting for results. It does say that Pearson Vue delivered the results...just waiting on the Board. I keep getting excited, but then I knock myself back down just in case.
  14. Wow! You found out fast! Congratulations!!! :balloons:
  15. I thought the questions were very similar to Saunders. But I'll be honest....I felt like it was so entirely random...everything related to a drug.
