  1. I am searching for the most affordable online FNP programs. I've considered Herzing since it offers scholarships with my company and GPA. I also came across NKU and it seems to be affordable and reputable. Any feedback on these schools or suggestions on other affordable online FNP programs that are reputable? Thanks for any suggestions!
  2. Here to update- after doing research, I feel like OU is great while SAU is more flexible and that is appealing, with SAU offering one class at a time and one campus visit instead of 2 classes at once and 3 campus visits. OU I will have to apply to and SAU I've already been accepted. Both require students to find preceptors and are similar in cost. I feel like OU is more recognizable, especially in my area, but how much does that matter if I'm still receiving quality education and putting in the effort? I suppose I'm looking for validation in leaning towards SAU. Thank you for all of your responses!
  3. Hi! I'm looking for feedback on the Spring Arbor University FNP program online. I was accepted and am due to start soon. I realized that this program looks at only the last 60 credit hours. How do people view this program? I'm having a hard time finding information on it and contacting employers on their perspective on hiring students from this school. It is private and Christian but reasonably affordable compared to some programs so that makes it appealing. My cumulative GPA is 3.2. I appreciate any perspective to help me make a decision and determine whether to decline acceptance and look elsewhere! Thanks
  4. Is there any more information on SAU? I appreciate info, especially from graduates of the FNP program. Thanks
  5. Hi! I am interested in hearing from people who have been through the program as well. Are they selective in accepting? How is testing done and are graduates really ill prepared? Thanks for any feedback. I am not from MI so appreciate info.
  6. Mine does that too! I'm always editing.
  7. Thanks. SAU is about 3 hours away but out of state for me so I'm not particularly familiar with Michigan's NP issues or the happenings of the area. I am happy to be accepted. I appreciate the info and any more info you have on SAU's program, or OU's. Thanks
  8. Thank you so much. I love OU. I also know Spring Arbor is Brick and mortar. It is small, private, and Christian and I honestly didn't hear about it before searching for affordable online FNP schools that don't require extensive campus visits. What is their reputation? I've already been accepted. Thanks for your input on Chamberlain. I do not have time and money to waste on education and needed to hear that! I'm concerned I'm not qualified for OU. If anyone's been through their program before, I will love to hear about your credentials! Thanks
  9. Yes! Can I ask about anyone's experience with Spring Arbor and Chamberlain? Also, a lot of votes recommend me to wait. Is OU much better? What prompts that vote? Thanks
  10. I agree. However, that's just the way schools are nowadays. I haven't come across one that isn't. Plus, with my lifestyle I need online classes and all online or mostly online programs are like this.
  11. All the schools listed require us to find our own preceptors, to my knowledge. I think that is standard.
  12. Yes! I looked it up for more info and it seems to have good rankings. Here is one list where's it's #3. 3
  13. Hi! I figured this would be a good place to ask about FNP schools. I recently graduated with my RN-BSN at Ohio University with one year of RN experince in med/surge/ LTC, a 3.2 GPA and was accepted into Chamberlain and Spring Arbor University Online. I really like Ohio Univeristy's BSN program and prefer to continue with them, but there's no guarantee that I'll be accepted. Also, OU starts Spring 2019 and Chamberlain and Spring Arbor start June and July 2018. I'm looking for experiences with any of these schools, the value of education, pass rate, and likelihood of finding a good job with each. In a nutshell, what would you do? I don't want to waste money on education if the degree is not valued among employers and I will like to know more about each. Thanks!
