Hello, I am currently in the program (first DNP cohort).

We have a couple OOS students and they do fine ! It’s all the same; on campus and online. It’s a private institution and they can do that. It’s very expensive either way.

I just took my CCRN this past week and I passed— it was hard I will say but I used all the practice questions from PASS CCRN, AACN test bank, and Barron’s. I wrote out every rationale in a notebook and review a different system everyday. I used Barron’s book and the AACN review. I also had Pass the CCRN book by Nicole Kupchik and I did the Laura Gasparis videos that I used as a backup reference. I also work in a MSICU full time nights, I’m full time grad school, have a toddler and husband. All I can say is JESUS!

Yes they do— I’m in the Adult Gero Acute Care and just like the peds Acute care, there are on campus intensives that we must attend for skills and those necessities

I applied before the second application deadline ! I applied before the second application deadline. I had just moved to Atlanta and I thought well the worst thing they can tell me is “No”. So I took a shot and applied! The deadline that I had was mid Jan.

And for more clarification when MN/MSN is used it means a MASTERS IN NURSING. Which is for BSN nurses who have already been RNs. If you are looking for and accelerated BSN which is a BSN fast tract you use the letters ABSN; which is what they also have at Emory at Emory they also have an AMSN which is an accelerated program ; you go for your BSN and MSN— do you come out a registered nurse AND nurse practitioner. the regular MSN is for people who have ALREADY been nurses for however many years and they go back for their MASTERS to become an NP. This is correct!

I’ll start a FB page for MSN students; I had found one that was absn and MSN but I was told that it was only for absn-MSN students .. so I kindly stopped liking that page . can you guys drop names so I can invite you ? Great!

Hey guys! I applied to Emory for the MSN AGACNP; the deadline was Jan 17th, and I found out Jan 24th that I was accepted ! I submitted my final part of my application (fafsa on Jan 15th) stats: Got my ADN in 2018(Kent State University) BSN GPA: 3.7 (The Ohio State University) -they only took my BSN GPA (thank you Jesus!!) GRE: waived (never even considered taking it because I was praying that my GPA would suffice) RN: about 2 years of experience at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Prerequisites: all completed prior to submitting application personal statement: completed references: 3 of them Licenses: I have my OH, and GA RN license, and BLS certified. community service, RN preceptor, our reaches I am apart of and other extracurriculars. I hope this helps others in the future !

Really?? I wonder why many people don’t look into Acute Care? It’s very broad and you can literally go anywhere with it ! Hello, have you heard from them yet? I hope you did ?

Hey Guys! I applied to the final round of Applications for Emory MSN in Acute Care NP; deadline was Jan 17th 2020, I found out last night that I have Been accepted ! I’ve been accepted to both Mercer and Emory. Who am I meeting this fall??!! Can’t wait to start with you all!
