  1. hi, if you choose ottawa U/Pembroke. You should know that campus and classes are small and you get more individual help if needed. If your grades are in the 70's you can still apply to be a nurse here, since acceptance for overall average is 70. The website shows still open for RPN and Bscn nursing, so you can still apply there for the fall. It is in the Ottawa Valley about 4 hours from Toronto, but worth the drive if it means you do not get to start your nursing career.
  2. If you do not mind going out of GTA for nursing, then you should apply to RPN at Algonquin college at Pembroke campus is still open for applicants and average requirement for acceptance is must lower than schools in GTA . Also the BSCN for RN is also open and average requirement of 75% is much lower than other universities. Everyone writes the same NCLEX test so actually does not matter which school you get your degree.
  3. Hi I noticed on the Algonquin Pembroke /University of Ottawa website still is open for spots for BSCN and RPN nursing. If you are from Gta area where nursing is so competitive and not been accepted anywhere yet,you should apply to this one as you can be eligible with a 75% average. It does not matter which school you get your degree or diploma at, since everyone writes the same NCLEX test in the end to become a nurse and no one actually cares which school you attended. If you have been accepted to pre- health programs in other university/college programs because you did not meet the 90% average mostly required in the gta area, you should apply here and get started on your nursing career right away.
