  1. Graduated May, took a week break and studied for 4 weeks using UWorld. Passed in 75.
  2. Thank you for the reply @Neo Soldier, and I apologize I wasn't able to reply to this right away. I did take a break after my last prerequisite and traveled to another state for a month! I'm so pumped to start this August! After your post, I became interested in the idea of working as a CNA, but I will have to see how heavy the course load for me is and how well I can handle it while also juggling a job. I appreciate your important input!
  3. Hello! Sorry for the late response. I actually found out I got accepted when I checked online after a friend of mine told me to check (we use Moodle for our online courses) on June 20th. Apparently they had sent the nursing packets on June 18th, but I didn't get mine for almost two weeks and this is local mail, too. That was a little bit nerve-wracking because of the deadline they give us, and failing to meet it means forfeiting your seat. Our point system is solely based on grades. They do add 10% to students who have taken all their courses in the college, but the downside is that that doesn't necessarily mean being able to get into the program. Our prerequisites consisted of: 2 English classes 2 Psychology classes AP 1 & 2 Critical Thinking Chemistry (I can't think of anymore at the top of my head, I feel like I'm missing some) I kind of wish they added microbiology as a pre-req considering that I think I will have to take that anyway while taking Intro to Health Concepts. But, it is what it is.
  4. Today marks the day that I'm able to apply for the nursing program at my school and I couldn't be more excited! I ended up acing everything, except for a B in Chemistry. My school also has a maximum score that you can get which is a 127, and I managed with a 123. Here's hoping I will start this Fall 2018! Any tips at all from anyone who is currently in nursing school? Much appreciated!
