  1. I am looking to go back to school for Acute Care NP and I am trying to decide on a program. I currently have a BSN and I would like to ultimately obtain my DNP because this degree aligns most closely with my career goals, but I wanted to get opinions on whether or not I should go straight for the DNP or get and MSN first. Will having the MSN first make me a better NP? Are BSN to DNP programs going to prepare me as well as if I were to do MSN to DNP? I am looking mostly for online programs because I need the flexibility and I want to be able to work during school (and this seems like the most financially responsible option). I don't know and DNP prepared NPs so I thought this would be the best way to get opinions.
