  1. I appreciate the response. After talking with a few other people, visiting a few forums, etc. I think I'm gonna go the ADN route. That way, I'll have my degree, I can get my 1-2 yrs experience in OB and save time as I work on my BSN.
  2. Check with the advisers again and see if you can meet with the nursing program director or someone aligned with them because they will have the most accurate information. For most programs that I've found, they require similar course: Elementary Statistics, Microbiology, A&P 1 and 2, Chemistry, Lifespan Development, US Hist 1 and 2, Govt, and maybe a Philosophy Course.
  3. Hi all! So I've been debating between nursing and higher medicine for some time. I've always considered that surgery is my passion, specifically cardiothoracics, but it doesn't seem like it's in the cards for me anymore. Instead, I've decided to go with my other top career choice of becoming a CRNA. The reason I need some advice is because at this point in my education, I have to make a decision. I am about a semester away from completing an A.Sc. in Biology with most of my pre-reqs for nursing completed. I had decided early on that if becoming a doctor didn't pan out, I wanted nursing to be my backup so I geared my education towards that. What I want to know is if I should continue on towards finishing my A.Sc., get my B.Sc. and then do a program to make that into a BSN, or if I should do the rest of my pre-reqs, become an ADN, get my ICU shifts out of the way, and then become a BSN with CRNA in the future? Any advice is much appreciated!
