Thank you for all your comments. My son wants to have the big college experience and we have prepared financially for that. From my readings, u of a nursing grads all seem to find employment. TMC hospital network, Mayo, and others offer new grad programs. It costs more per year but it's a 4 year program, Cal State San Jose is a 5 year. San Jose though has a built-in residency program during last semester which may help in the super competitive job hunt after graduation.

Hi all, son wants to be a nurse and was accepted to the University of Arizona pre-nursing program. After the first two years he will need to apply to the BSN program which is pretty competitive. If he doesn't get accepted he wants to come back to California. My question is how transferable are those pre-nursing classes he would have taken to Cal State systems or to private colleges in southern California like West Coast or Point Loma? He also got accepted to pre nursing at San Jose Cal State and we were thinking that might be the easier route if after 2 years he's not accepted into the BSN program, at least we know those classes he would have taken can apply within the Cal State system. Any information is appreciated thank you in advance.
