  1. I know this is an old post but wanted to ask those of you who completed the Depaul FNP program....does Depaul help you find a clinical site?
  2. Hi @Annaventures! They just emailed me a link to do the interview via video recording which was through Kiratalent in December. I honestly don't remember the questions specifically but they were pretty much like the questions that were asked on the application. For example, why and how do I think this masters degree would help me as a nurse. They only give you like a minute or two to answer and I got cut off a lot mid sentence LOL. I knew I had a strong application though, so I wasn't worried too much about messing up on the interview. I think the fact that I was doing it at home in a recording made it much more easier too. Less pressure. Then they sent another email saying I got accepted to the AGMS program but pending if the UIC Graduate College accepted their referral, which they did a week later LOL. It was all a really easy process, just a lot of waiting!
  3. I just got an email saying I got accepted into the fall MS in nursing for RNs program
  4. Just submitted my application for next Fall! Currently "under review" but I know it's early and I will probably have to wait a few months because deadline is January 15th ?. Just wanted to start a thread on here for anyone else that is applying!
  5. Hi, I'm starting the application process as well! Are you applying to the Masters in Nursing for RNs? Just waiting on a couple references to be completed and will submit! I'm nervous about the interviews. If anyone can let us know how that process is like and give us some tips? Thanks!!
  6. How much is everyone making in Chicago? Please state your years of experience and specialty ?
  7. I'm not too far from the loop. Very close to UIC. So I'm definitely considering UIC.
  8. Hi guys! I am currently looking for WHNP online programs. I am located in Chicago, so any recommendations in Illinois would be great too!
  9. I can create it ? and add anyone who wants to be admins. Let me know ? are you guys able to send private messages? Now how to add/invite you guys without knowing your names....lol ? @scasis @alex ap you guys are awesome lol
  10. @alex ap a little nervous because of how disorganized this program is ? but I’m glad we are all supporting each other here. Maybe we can create a private FB messenger group or some group chat on another messenger platform like WhatsApp when we all see each other on the 8th? Just to keep things more private? Lol! I still haven’t found anyone in my clinical group (Mondays 6:30am anyone? Lol)
  11. Same. The email I received says the 8th.
  12. @NellBelle714 @Amy Lad I got the same email and phone call today too. We must be the students who never had the option to "accept/deny" on the student portal. I also still replied "yes" to the email even though I'm already registered for Nursing 101. @ramop289 I ordered these shoes from Amazon Prime: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S7NLCPM?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_asin_image
  13. Yes ? Section AA4X. I have Huda for lecture. Key & Sanders for clinical/lab.
  14. @NellBelle714 I think you and I got accepted on the same day. I never had the option to “accept/deny.” I just received the acceptance email one day and when I signed into the student portal it just said “accepted” as well
  15. @alex ap ??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️ Darn. Oh well lol.
  16. FYI guys. If you plan to do the test through LabCorp or Quest Diagnostics, you need to call them to put in the order. A number of us Malcolm X students went and got sent off ? I thought we could pay there. I did mine through LabCorp. The number to call to put in the order for the drug screen is: 1-888-732-2348 (RequestATest) and it costs $69 for the 9 panel urine drug screen at LabCorp. It’s $75 at Quest Diagnostics. Wish I knew this earlier ?
  17. @NellBelle714 You’re very welcome! They run larger for sure. I was drowning in them ? I’m not THAT skinny so I was surprised I was a XXS in pants and I definitely have to get them hemmed. I really suggest visiting the store and trying them on. I just waited five minutes for them to apply the patch. I also got my stethoscope and this healthcare accessories pack from that store as well (comes with bandage scissor, penlight and a multi-colored ink pen)
  18. Ebooks are also a cheaper option. I hate carrying books with me so I always rent the ebook if it’s available. You can find most of them on amazon too
  19. Def go to the store and try on! I’m 5’2, bust 34 and size 2 in pants. My scrub top is an XS, pants XXS and lab coat XXS lol
  20. Shoes at the store where we get the uniform are so expensive. Way cheaper options on Amazon!
  21. Did you guys purchase "nursing" shoes?
  22. @cnabeauty you should've received three pdf attachments in the email..one regarding the drug test, one for purchasing the scrubs and the acceptance letter with the nursing seminar date (Jan 8th).
  23. Did you guys do another TB test? -- "The drug screening and TB testing results must be completed the week of December 30th and January 3rd, 2019."
  24. I JUST GOT MY ACCEPTANCE EMAIL TOO!!! YAAAAAAAS!!!! lol!!
