I apologize in advance if this has already been asked and if it's a bit lengthy. I will be relocating to FL in the next few months and I applied for the FL RN license by endorsement. I paid the fee, got my NJ license verification sent, did the fingerprinting....but I now received a letter stating that in order for me to hold a multi-state license in Florida, I must provide proof of primary residence in the state of Florida, which I plan to do when I move. What I'm trying to figure out is either: a) can I get the license, even temporarily, so that I can work right away when I move or b) work for a period of time under my NJ license temporarily until I provide the proof of residency (which I would do immediately) or c) do I have to wait to work? I did send a message to the board of nursing but their response was not clear. Thank you in advance!
