The OH BON granted a permanent license exactly six weeks from submission of all paperwork. The License verification website now shows the Temporary License as closed and the Permanent License as Active. I guess the rule of thumb here is patience! I did note that the places I did interview at were a little leery of a temporary license. I got a what if the BON doesn't give you a permanent license. Then what?

You have to keep your other nursing license active until you are granted your permanent license You get an email informing you of the status change. I filed all my paperwork on June 26th. Hopefully you are about to get your permit this week.

My status remained " submitted " for exactly four weeks. It then changed to " In review" . At that point I was granted a temporary permit that is good for six months.

i just went through the process. It took 4 weeks for the BON to grant me a temporary license. Contacting the BON does NOT speed up the process.

It took four weeks to the day for me to receive a temporary permit. The office is swamped with new grads and is processing as fast as they can
