  1. Hi, Does anyone know what Denver Health's PRN work policy is? Do they require you to work a certain number of days per schedule? Thanks!
  2. The interview is very laid back. Not really an interview at all. The admissions advisor just goes over everything and takes you on a tour. :-) Good luck!!
  3. This is totally random, but do you work in the medical field currently? I need some good shoes for lab/clinicals. I know a lot of people recommend those dansko shoes, but Ive never tried them.
  4. I got lab group 1. I was trying to figure out how many people are in our cohort. There weren't that many people from the ADN program, picking up books. Oh, since we have lab, we have to wear scrubs on Monday, right??
  5. Did you go to orientation yesterday? I only met 1 ADN student. We were all surrounded by a sea of BSN students. Lol. What lab group did you get?
  6. Let me know if you can't find it. I can forward the email to you. :-)
  7. Mine was sent to my email by Rachael.
  8. Everything is finalized! Yay!! Now I just have to pass the time til Sept 20th. This month is going to go by so slow. :-D
  9. Thanks!! I'll be there at 11ish. My appointment is at 11:30. :-)
  10. I took it today! Woot! Passed with a 92%. The vocab was harder than I anticipated. Glad its over though! Im going back tomorrow to finalized my financial aid. Also, those scrubs are HUGE! Lol.
  11. I used the Hesi study guides. I found a few different ones on Amazon. Quizlet and PocketPrep are also good sites for study material. ACC requires all of the sections except for Physics. Good Luck!
  12. I highly recommend going to one of ACC's information sessions. You will roughly need a 90+ on each of the HESI subjects to get accepted.
  13. For me, I am more worried about the Grammar section. I know all the stuff, but I get nervous and forget. Haha! I hope they let me just do it all in one day. I dont wanna have to keep going back up there for every little thing.
  14. Thats great news! I cant wait til Im able to take the hesi next week. I'm so tired of studying for it. Haha! Did you go and take your drug test after the hesi? I cant remember if thats when we're suppose to do it. If you dont mind me asking, do you know why you're having to go back for financial aid? Are we able to do it the same day as the hesi?
  15. Yes. I included my volunteer experience and was accepted.
  16. My name is Stephanie! Im so excited! :-D Cant wait.
  17. I live in Denver. Im about 13 or so miles away. Not too far. I dont drive very much, so I'll probably be taking public transit and biking.
  18. The school is great! I really like how its strictly a nursing school. We wont be mingled in with other majors. I take the hesi on August 22nd. I havent spoken with anyone else who got accepted in our cohort, but Jeff said there should be 15-20 of us! :-)
  19. When do you take the hesi? I just got back from the interview! It went great. I have decided to go ahead and stay with DCN instead of trying to apply to Arapahoe.
  20. Did you have your interview yet!!! How did it go? :-D Mine is next week Eek!
  21. DCN actually has a slightly lower NCLEX pass rate compared to ACC. If you do the math on both the schools' numbers, ACC is 1 point higher percentage. ACC tested more students. I plan on going to the interview, but I am still on the fence about it. I have a lot of my classes done for ACC/FRCC already. My MAT 103 and some of my electives wont transer to DCN. If I go to DCN it would end up taking longer to get my BSN. Their online RN to BSN program is longer than other schools. Im not 100% sure if DCN's credits will work for other RN to BSN programs other than their own.
  22. All these schools have different requirements! Its so hard trying to keep track sometimes. Lol. Why cant they all just have universal requirements!? :-P
  23. Hey! I got my interview email this morning. Im in a bit of a pickle though. I was planning on applying to Arapahoe and FRCC at the end of the year. The tuition makes me wanna apply to ACC and FRCC so bad. Those are both really great schools. Hmmmm, what to do.
