I was recently offered a job at a outpatient dialysis clinic and as being a new grad, I accepted it because I need the money. The training is about 3 months and its 5 days/week which means if I get a call from a hospital to interview, I won't be able to go. I applied to 100+ positions in different hospitals around NYC, Westchester & Long Island and I know it takes time but pretty soon I won't be considered a new grad anymore (I graduated in Jan 2018). I been proactive with the job search and even went in personally to hand in my resumes to a few hospitals. My question is, am I selling myself short by just accepting the dialysis job and not waiting it out or should I just take the job for now to gain some type of clinical experience and reapply to jobs again within another year? What would you do?

I got a call from a recruiter last week friday that wanted to setup an interview with me at a hospital that I really want to work for. Unfortunately, I missed her call and she left me a voicemail. I called her back within 30 mins but no answer so I left a message. She sent me an email and I replied back. I tried again for the next 2 days, sent another email, called and left another voicemail. I still haven't heard from her...I'm really kicking myself for missing the call because I feel like I missed an opportunity especially since I'm a new grad. On the voicemail she left me, she said she wanted to setup an interview for this week and now it's Wednesday.. At this point, should I just call it a lost and move on? Or should I keep contacting her?

It changed after a week later. I actually had a phone interview last week with a recruiter and I was told an in person interview will be setup with the unit manager. But I haven't heard back from him yet and I sent a follow up email and left a message on his voicemail...=/

I applied to Northwell Health (NY) and my application status says "Interview to be Scheduled with Candidate"...I was wondering if anyone went through this process and if so, how long did it take the recruiter to contact you for a interview?
