Is $13,000 for one semester? I remember them saying it was about $20k for the year at one of the info sessions. Also maybe because you got your Financial Aid award it changed it?

I didn’t even apply to QU for that reason! I knew it was just too expensive.

I got my letter and the portal does not reflect that. Definitely message the Nursing Information Program Admissions Coordinator, it wouldn't hurt. Her email is readily available on the website, and she was super helpful throughout the admissions process!

That's strange, I remember at the info session (in 2018) that the SCSU ACE program didn't have a limit on their prerequisites, but maybe that has changed since then. Honestly, it might be worth retaking prereqs that you have the lowest grades for in case it's something you really want to do. I started with almost zero prerequisites, (English major) and just took one class each semester. It took a couple of years, but looking back, it doesn't feel like it took THAT long. You also probably don't need to take all of them again (like Psych, and Math are probably still fine). Best of luck to you!

My guess is things are delayed due to COVID-19. A lot of programs are suspending/cancelling clinical hours (mainly because there isn't enough PPE for students to use) and trying to get their lectures and testing online and still make sure that students are engaged. I was so excited to come back from my vacation to a decision of some sort, but nothing yet!

I'm still waiting on decisions from two other programs that are closer to me in New Haven, but I will probably be taking the train if I go to Fairfield (from New Haven to Fairfield). Much better than trying to battle the 95 corrider.

Agreed. I just checked my SCSU Application Acknowledgement email: "will be notified of your application decision no later than April 1, 2020." Previous years say that people started hearing early March, but things can always change.

Hey! I did my interview back in April (I think). Once I got all the application items in around mid-October, I heard about a week later. So, it was a quick turnaround for me, but I also interviewed very early. My guess is the turnaround might have slowed as the deadline got closer and passed (especially if they got a flood of applicants). Best of luck to you!

I applied to Fairfield's accelerated program and was accepted (yay!), but SCSU is my #1 choice. I also applied to Gateway's ADN program, but won't hear back for a while. However, I already live in New Haven, so SCSU is a much closer and cost-effective option for me.

I wanted to get a thread together with those who are applying to Southern Connecticut State University's ACE Program for the Summer 2020 start. I still need to complete my essay and am in my last semester of prerequisites! Has anyone heard anything regarding admission? I know the email says April 2020.

I just got my acceptance contingent on completing Microbiology with a B or higher. I am so excited! I live in New Haven, and this program is the furthest and most expensive for me out of the other two that I am applying to.

Hi! I just applied as well. I am finishing up my Microbiology prerequisite right now. It's all exciting, but also so nerve-wracking. I had a decent undergraduate GPA and I've kept it about the same throughout my prerequisites, so hoping that I am okay! Keep me posted when you hear something!
