UCSF New Grad Residency Program April 2021
I didn’t hear anything back after the first interview either but I emailed them a little while ago. They just emailed me a rejection

Did they send you a rejection email? I wasn’t contacted about a second interview but never got a formal rejection email from them.

They told me that they would get back to those who are chosen for the second step either at the end of this week or next week! The second interview would be in person. They didn’t mention anything about the references though so the email was a surprise.

ATT dated for CA?
Have you checked your spam mail?? My Breeze application was approved on July 28th and I got my ATT around 9pm on the 29th.

ATT dated for CA?
Hi everyone! I’m from SF and graduated from an ADN program in San Mateo. I applied on May 2nd and graduated May 21st. My school took forever to send our transcripts in (June 29th). 4 weeks and a day later (Tuesday), my application on Breeze was finally approved. I got my ATT on Wednesday at 10:45PM! as for the Breeze applications, the students who had accommodations in my class were approved about a week before everyone else. I also noticed when they were approving my cohort, it was going on alphabetical order by last name.

CSM - College of San Mateo - 2019 applicants
I like it! The workload is definitely going to get heavier the second year though. You need to have at least a 3.0 in anatomy, physio, micro, chem, oral & written communication, critical thinking, and stats. If you have a 3.0 or above, they also look into work/volunteer experience. http://collegeofsanmateo.edu/nursing/docs/ADNFlyer2018.pdf

CSM - College of San Mateo - 2019 applicants
Hi! I'm a current CSM/SFSU student, and can confirm that there are 50 spots in CSM's ADN program and 40 spots for the SFSU BSN bridge program!

College of San Mateo Fall 2018 nursing program
I don't think the test is going to count against us. I think it's just for us to see if/where we need more practice

Failed TWO science pre reqs.. Any hope?
Hi! I had to retake two prereq (microbio and anatomy) due to personal reasons as well. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to get into a program at a local community college. A lot of cc's are merritt-based meaning it's based on points. Also, there are private schools that are very holistic in their admission decisions, so any experience and/or your personal statement would help a lot!

Nursing transfer student
There are a bunch of CSU's that have Spring start programs, so I would just do some research on that! If anything, CCSF also has a program that starts in the Spring and it's also free if you are a SF resident!

What was your gpa-California Comm College
I got into a community college with a 3.4 science GPA and 3.45 overall GPA. I'm also a CNA, have over 150 hours of volunteer hours, and am also bilingual. I do know people who got in without being a CNA though.

TEAS VI without A&P, Micro, and Bio possible to pass?
Personally, I don't think you should rush it because 1) the science portion on the TEAS is very heavy on Anatomy and Physiology, and 2) even if you don't want to take it now and instead transfer to a private school, I'm sure you're going to have to take all of those science classes before you begin the nursing program & before you graduate. With that being said, why not take your time and take all of your science classes for a more affordable cost rather than taking the same classes at a private school which would cost so much more?

Is Unitek College any good?
Thank you! It stands for College of San Mateo.

Is Unitek College any good?
I'm from the Bay as well! I was having trouble with BSN programs because of my grades and my TEAS score, but i got into CSM's ADN program on my first try. I was originally waitlisted, but I ended up getting in a few weeks ago. My stats were: Science GPA: 3.4 Overall GPA: 3.45 TEAS: 73.3 I work as a CNA and I have over 150 hours at a local hospital and I volunteered abroad. I got into CSM's program with a total of 52 points. I have a friend doing the LVN program at Unitek and it's extremely pricey since it is a for-profit school.

Is Unitek College any good?
Are you in the Bay Area? If so, there are a bunch of community colleges that offer ADN and most of them are pretty good programs! I would definitely try for those before settling for Unitek.

Having trouble finding path to RN
Hi! I would suggest try applying for ADN programs. My TEAS score wasn't high enough and I got rejected from BSN programs, but fortunately I got into an ADN program! ADN programs are either merit-based or lottery system.
