AVC 2021 Spring Nursing Program
I did, I’m waiting to hear back from them. Yeah they said that it was still too early to receive rejection letters. I’m assuming after they get all the responses and the second wave goes out and they close up that they’ll send out rejection letters. I already rescheduled my TEAS to retake it. Don’t give up!

I did not. Apparently they failed to add my CNA into my application so they counted me at 55 points. ??♀️ They also said that it’s too early to have received rejection letters for this cycle.

Not holding my breath but... it’s the day before Thanksgiving! Same day notifications were received last year. Hopefully we find out soon! The wait is driving me crazy!

I also applied with 65 this time. I feel like a lot of people don’t really say how many points they’re applying with ??♀️ I don’t know why but I have gone through the past few threads for this school and haven’t seen a lot of people announce theirs. I hope they send out letters soon. The wait is driving me crazy haha hard to plan for January and child care if I don’t know what my schedule will be like.

Yes, but you have to make sure with the advisor that your credits are accepted. All the transcript office does is accept your transcripts and upload them into their system. I had a battle Royale with the school this past February about accepting my A&P 1&2 classes I took at UNLV. They ended up accepting my courses but I had submitted them the previous October and found out mid February they didn’t accept them. Two weeks before my application was due March 1. The advisors are the ones that look at the courses on your transcript and accept them for equal AVC credit if it’s on their pre-approved list and if it’s not on their list it gets sent to the dean of the department for acceptance or not.

I have a ridiculous amount of transfer credits. You have to speak with an advisor to make sure that your credits were accepted once your transcripts have been uploaded into AVC’s system. It should be noted on your ED plan that ---------------------- (or one of the advisors) sent to you after you meet with them. They have to be accepted and in their system before you apply or your application will be incomplete.

AVC 2021 Spring Nursing Program
The fall semester only accepts 40 students and this last groups lowest points were 65. The Spring cohort accepts 60 students and the cut off for last years was 55 points. I got an 82 on my TEAS and am applying with 65 points.

They changed the application due date to Oct. 1 this year! A little more time to get it put together! Good luck! I'll also be applying for the Spring!

Antelope Valley College nursing program fall 2020
They updated the RN page on the AVC website to include the application. You can also find the the program description includes the necessary pre req's needed to apply. I'll also be applying for the Spring 2021 class! https://www.avc.edu/academics/RN If you haven't, you should email Katherine and set up an appointment to meet with her to go over your application. I think it's required to meet with her (or an advisor) within 6 months of applying. Also, applications are not due until Oct. 1 this year due to Covid.
