  1. I emailed mine as a pdf and got a confirmation that they received it just a few minutes later. The fastest thing they've done this entire process! Haha.
  2. Just realized everything I typed was already information provided by previous posters. Lol.
  3. Me and my friend just got ACCEPTANCE LETTERS!!! Check your email!!
  4. I've gotten two texts that letters started going out! One of them from a previous classmate that told me they didn't get in. Do they not send all the letters at the same time? I don't have an email yet! Has anyone gotten an acceptance letter yet??
  5. Thanks for taking the time to update us!!
  6. That's what I thought. It is so unfortunate. There wouldn't be such a shortage if we had the ability to train more. But until teaching is more valued financially, that most likely will not happen.
  7. Oh that completely makes sense. Hopefully they find a good replacement for that instructor. It seems that it is difficult to find nursing instructors at all. Thanks for the information!
  8. I am glad that they are considering BI231 rather than the CIS class because that class was the biggest waste of time and minimally relevant. I hope that you get in this year! If not, best of luck next year! How did you do in BI231?
  9. I wish! I don't understand why this year is so much harder to figure out! Ugh. They seem more behind at each milestone. I am still (naively) hoping that we get surprised with early letters. I'm an optimist. Ha!
  10. Yeah...according to that lady's tone, I wouldn't hold my breath on tomorrow. They seemed much further behind this year. Reviewing scores took an extra week or so. I hope we are pleasantly surprised and they send the letters out sooner than she seemed to think. I was bummed to hear that.
  11. Well, I called today, (because I'm the most impatient person ever, apparently...) and asked if they anticipated being ahead of schedule with the letters or if they planned on being mid-May like the application stated. She said "Oh no, it'll definitely be mid-May..." C'mon!! *sigh* I just want that letter. Anyone else going crazy?
  12. Congratulations Dalton!! That's so exciting!!
  13. Now that the chance to appeal your scorecard has passed - WE ARE IN THE FINAL WAITING PERIOD, guys!! I am really hoping it doesn't actually take two weeks to complete this part. I am ready to know for sure!!
  14. Good luck! I think most people feel like they did horribly in interviews, no matter what kind they are. I'm sure you did just fine. What are your points looking like for Chemeketa? We will know soon!! Good luck to you!
  15. Definitely biting my nails over here. I (selfishly) hope that nobody is planning a long appeal on their scorecard because I am beyond anxious to see that letter!! (Hopefully, with good news!) Fingers crossed for everyone! This process has been almost more stressful than actually taking the prerequisites to get to this point! Lol.
  16. I feel that same way! I wish I had those points! The alternate points being considered means I am missing 7.5pts rather than 2.5 so it is a little unsettling thinking about it that way.
  17. It definitely seems like they are not as fast as last year as the last day to take the exam was the 6th and it is already 11 days later. I'm losing my mind with impatience. I confirmed yesterday that they are using alternate points for this application. Does anyone know how many alternates didn't get in last year? I hope that they actually have our letters/decisions quicker than it is taking them to send out our score sheets. I keep having nightmares about being 20pts short, rather than 2.5pts. I'd like to get some sound sleep. lol.
  18. Has anyone gotten their scorecard yet? Do they send them all out at one time or as they complete each one?
  19. I have been wondering that myself. I wish we had more black and white information. I hate that scorecards take so long. We all have a pretty good idea of our points I think since we've been obsessing about them since we began these prerequisites. Lol. (Or maybe that's just me??)
  20. And was last year the year they only admitted 40 rather than 48 or was that the year before?
  21. This may be a ridiculous question: but if the alternates from last year are unable to use their 5 alternate points, the total scorecard would be out of 310, correct? So perhaps your odds would be better then, Lizzy.
  22. I wish that was an option for me! Unfortunately, I need to keep working. I work for Kaiser Permanente and have beyond incredible benefits so I provide that for our family, as well as continuing education benefits that will pay for most of the program. Also, by continuing to work for them, I'll still have seniority when I graduate from school and will be an internal candidate making it more likely that I'll get a great RN job right out of school. And, we are still paying for childcare, which is insanely expensive. I am looking forward to becoming a nurse and needing to work less! Thank you so much for your input and your advice. It is greatly appreciated.
  23. Exactly what Soloist said!! I don't think you have anything to worry about with missing 7 points!!
  24. That is my plan to work approximately 24hours as well. I also have healthcare experience so I am hoping that some of it translates and helps me catch on a little easier than I would of I didn't have it. What do you do for work?
  25. Thank you so much for the information. It is really helpful to have an idea as to what we are all getting ourselves into. Is anyone in the program working as well? You're so close!! That is amazing! And Disneyland is a great reward for a patient, supportive family.
