For which school?

Most colleges offer them and I've called just about all of them. As far as I know, and what they have told me, none of the schools will let you take these classes without being in their nursing program.

Can't register until you go through soar, and I think the nursing department gives us our classes anyways? Not 100% sure but that seems to be how other programs do it.

Does anyone know what the schedule is going to be like? From what I've heard its classes 2 days out of the week and clinicals for 1?

No one else got an email from Dr Cheryl Osborne about an internship at eskaton village Carmichael's on the school email?

Did you guys check your school email? I got an email about a one year internship at a retirement home. Is this part of the nursing program?

Does anyone know the length of the trimester and semester programs? I assume the semester program is 3 years but I am not sure how long the trimester program is. 2 years or so?

Okay guys I can confirm if you got the email from before that we are accepted into the SON. I was turning in my transcripts and decided to stop by and double check. I am literally in their office on the 4th floor of Simpson tower. They said that the email we get in April is for reaffirmation. They congratulated me and sent me on my merry way. So, to everyone who got the email, congratulations!!

The confusion has been worked out, we are accepted into CSULA as of now but not into the SON. The confusion stems from the fact that we got a letter from the admissions office congratulating us on our acceptance into the SON. The email should have been congratulating us on our acceptance into CSULA.

Deadline is May 1st.

I believe it was miss Florita? She also said "I don't have the list in front of me right now" in regards to people who got accepted so I believe that they already have a list comprised of people who are in. Maybe the SON forwarded that list to the admissions office and they sent out the email to us. This is all speculation of course.

I asked her if we could be denied entrance and she said that it is a possibility and not to pay the entrance fee until you get an official email. If it was just a formality then I believe she would have told me to pay the fee regardless.

I called and confirmed as well, it is not our acceptance into the nursing program. Also if you paid your $100 enrollment confirmation deposit you cannot get it back even if you are not accepted into the nursing program. Seems wrong to me, and honestly quite "scammy" (couldn't think of anything else).

Congratulations to everyone who got the acceptance letter. I also got one but I will not be going to Cal State LA. That opens up one slot, good luck!

Doesn't matter if you've been waitlisted for the school, it only matters for the nursing program which you find out late April. Lots of nursing major students will have been waitlisted because we find out in April and every other major finds out before us. Don't worry :)

Okay, I just called csula admissions and they said that the incomplete status is normal at this point. She also said acceptance letters for csula should go out at the end of March and acceptance letters for nursing goes out in April. So hopefully this info relieves some stress for you folks.

My status on GET portal says incomplete as well. I also haven't gotten an email confirming or denying my acceptance. Don't really know what is going on.

So if you come in through the beach drive entrance of the school it should be the first parking lot on the right, at the end of it will be a shabby looking building that says nursing on it. Hope that helps? Just enter through beach drive :)

30 miles away is a long commute, especially in traffic, but it depends on if it is worth it to you. Depending on where you are coming from and the traffic, I imagine the commute would take you between 45 minutes to an hour and a half? I'm about 25 miles away. It takes me about 30 minutes to an hour and fifteen minutes and I think it is definitely worth it since CSULB is a great school for nursing.

I will also be aiming for the 9 am time slot.
