  1. Passed NCLEX 6/28, license issues 07/03. This was in 2023.
  2. I don't even graduate until May so yeah, knew it was a long shot. Thought my very extensive homebirth midwifery experience would've held enough weight but alas, nay. I was really upset to learn too during the interview that their midwifery clinicals were predominately at Yale's main campus versus Saint Raphael's, as the main campus would then have alllll the residents, etc. to "compete" with.
  3. Yeah I was RN-MSN track and was rejected. My understanding is they save MOST of the spots for GEPN and only like half a dozen for our track. If I had known those stats beforehand, I probably would not have applied.
  4. You can do it! Rip the bandaid.
  5. I was Nurse Midwifery only.
  6. I did not get in. Good luck everyone!
  7. No. One and then 2 denials (mine included).
  8. I got one too and cannot bring myself to open it.
  9. IDK. What time did everyone's "application update" come in for the interview? Mine was 4:52pm. Yeah I have a weird inkling it'll be Friday.
  10. I got a random feeling today that it will be Friday. IDK why.
  11. And after interviews were done so, seems accurate.
  12. The interview was sent to me at the end of the day. So, maybe that's the norm? May just be random?
  13. Would suckkk if it was so late. Someone had called graduate admissions and they said first week February so, fingers crossed.
  14. Doubt they give waitlist order but it would be cool if they did. Would love to hear from others about it too!
  15. This is really valuable information. Thank you so much.
  16. Wow. I had never thought this was possible. I only applied to Yale because of the community scholars scholarship and so if I do not get that, I will need to have enough other aid to make it financially make sense. I will qualify for needs-based.
  17. This is golden. For sure!
  18. @PsychAng nervous, of course. It took me 2 days to even open the interview letter ? ?
  19. @ZC KA ahhh. I hope it's Feb 1st.
  20. @PsychAng I got the same email and freaked when I just saw Yale in general thinking it was time and notifications got sent out early then I was like, darn. I got my FAFSA done all the same.
  21. @FutureFNP2023 same. Albeit, I do have almost 8 years of homebirth midwifery assisting. Hopefully it's enough. Who knows what their process is. ??‍♀️
  22. Ooof. Sorry to hear that. I am mentally preparing for either. I had a dream, well, nightmare, that I got an acceptance letter (in the mail, ha) but then my husband noticed it was to someone else with a different birthday. ?
  23. @FutureFNP2023 you never know what they're looking for! you got the interview so, rest assured at least that they were interested in you. but yes, it is just an anxious waiting game (over soon enough).
  24. Yeah I've seen that announcement and I find it SO problematic, especially right now. Do they REALLY need to put an extra barrier to practice (time, money, etc.)? Now? When nursing is at epidemic levels and we don't have enough providers in general? Especially mental health and maternity. Like holy ***, how blind can they be!? Are master's prepared advance practice nurses really not competent/safe enough? This is ESPECIALLY frustrating concerning midwifery, where the rest of the world is mostly a direct entry 3-4 undergraduate degree and whadayaknow, they have better outcomes. We need more APRNs (especially midwives). This will slow halt this and will continue to perpetuate racial inequities in the career. *sorry not sorry* ?
